Wacom Bamboo Touch - USB Multi-Touch Input $28 (RRP $99) HT

190

Saw this recently when I was getting a new tablet. $20 cheaper than the next available on StaticIce. Allows you to add multitouch input to your existing desktop/laptop. Rotate, zoom, scroll, etc.

  • Is it like the other bigger wacom tablets, but just smaller?

  • wow that cheap,
using the same one right now at work and paid $100 for it last year

    • damn, i'm in the same boat, I bought it for ~100 from CPL a month ago. Good deal though!

    • Whats your opinion on it , any good , anything we need to look out for ?

actualy.. this isnt the pen version..

its a touch pad but its not the same as a macbook touch pad.. not as smooth so cant use it as much

    • can you use it to finger draw/edit (photoshop) or asian language input?

    • so no good for PS etc then…

    WHAT?!?

    clearance?

hate it when buy something and the next thing you know it the price drops like…

    • normal price $32…

      • It was over priced from the start.
If you factor in the delivery cost, it is only an ok bargain.
I had two line up but decided to cancel the order. I have no need for it. In fact, I often prefer the mouse over the pad in may laptop.

  • Ordered - lets see if they cancel

    • Pretty sure you got the last one available for delivery. The stock levels seem to reflect almost immediately.

      • 1 in act 8 in nth ryde , well done on the post btw

  • Hmm… sounds kinda like a touchpad for desktop PCs that don't have one. Great price though - might pay to actually go into the physical store to grab it if you can.

  • 8 left in Ryde , after my order :)

  • IIRC Wacom do 3 Versions:

Pen: use a stylus for brushwork etc in photoshop
Touch: This one. Basically lets you do finger gestures
Pen & Touch: Combo of both

They probably dropped the price because nobody will pay $99 for one especially when you can get something much better like the Apple Trackpad (not sure if theres Windows drivers for that? if so, win)

Actually, looks like it works as a regular mouse too. So its pretty much like a large laptop trackpad with gesture support. Sounds pretty good at that price.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one. The community has developed Linux drivers for most (all?) the Wacom products, but it seems there is a bit of effort involved to compile and configure.

Please be aware that we will have more stock available at this price and we are able to accept back-orders.

  • It came today it is purely just Capacitive touch, I didnt read the description I was expecting a mini version of my intuos, FAIL. I hate touchpads so this junk is going to eat bin.
