I've just bought my first gaming PC and am waiting on the parts to arrive. Obviously I'm not going to pay $339 for windows 10 pro from the Microsoft website and I see windows keys on eBay and websites like g2deal.com for about $10-20. Has anyone used websites like this or have any advice on the cheapest way to get an OS?

If you're building and ordered parts, then shouldn't an OEM/system builder version be completely legit?
I've bought numerous keys off eBay for about $4. They work fine. No issues with Windows keys and Office keys.
Cheap online key. They're usually 'retired' OEM licenses, so not exactly legal, but Microsoft is desperate to pump W10 installs so no one will follow up.

Windows 10 runs fine unactivated. It wont let you personalise the system (such as change desktop picture) though.

You can make an ISO and it will activate and work fine on any windows 7 or 8 PCs you put it into. If it doesn't- call ms chat support and they will activate for you
And when did you last try that?

Give Microsoft activation number a call should be able to get it activated with support help.
Did you straight upgrade or fresh install?
my favorite is gamesdeal. they have %10 off at the moment too with "software10". I think, or a with a coupon code very similar.
Apart from Bitlocker there is no reason to get Pro. Although if you are going to try a cheap eBay seller you may as well.
