The whole concept of "we need a receipt" is bloody stupid and a cop out.
It's a Samsung item. Hell, who do they THINK made it and should warrant it?
My local big w had lots on clear out the other day. I didn't take note of the brands or models because they were all smaller than I would use. There was one for $50. I am in Central QLD but they may be in other stores.

HA! One dead pixel on my screen, one stuck pixel, because I won it in a competition and wasn't given the receipt they haven't even contacted me even though I logged it twice on their warranty system (it's 11 months from date of manufacture).
Their warranty help SUCKS!
