Which Laptop I Should Go for? - Budget $1400

Hi, I had enough from underpowered laptops over the years and finally thought of investing in a gaming laptop. I will most probably use it for Development(mostly .net) + adobe lightroom + little bit of gaming and usual browsing/word etc… I have two options in mind.

Choice 1
Choice 2

I'm tempted to go for choice 2 as it is the newer generation and only has a $50 price difference but that core i5 makes me think…

Which would you guys reckon will be suitable? Or is there a better laptop out there for less than $1400? (I'm looking for a brand new with warranty).

  Choice is more about what's important to you.

  The i7-7700HQ would be helpful for lightroom over the i5-7300HQ, and the 1060 will be helpful over the 1050 ti for gaming.

  You can potentially talk to Dell chat and see if they can do the second one with a processor upgrade and the discount.

  Purely for gaming, I would recommend the i5, because rarely do you need the added performance of hyperthreading in gaming. But with your other needs im not quite sure how much oomph you need from your CPU. If your gaming isn't too heavy the 1050Ti should handle it mostly.

  I think you might also want to consider asking to get 16GB RAM instead of 8GB.

  Hi All, Thanks for the help. Went with 7567 i7-7700HQ because of CPU, gaming is a less priority and battery is good in 7567.
