How to Set up Sharp Aquos S2 Phone?

This purchase has proved to be pretty stressful. Despite selecting English when I started the phone, everything is in Chinese. I've attempted to follow ajoesmith's vague flash guide on WP here - http://whrl.pl/Re8ltE - but step 6 doesn't explain how to 'copy' the file over. I'd highly appreciate some help as to how to change it to English and 'flash' it to the Taiwanese ROM (if that's the correct expression). :(

Edit: I plugged the phone into the computer, accessed 'FS8010' and moved the zip file to the main folder there. I then dialled the code and clicked on the button that appeared at the bottom of the resulting Smile UX screen. After the download, everything is still in Chinese. I wouldn't have bought this phone if I knew it couldn't be displayed in English. :(

    I moved the zip file to root of phone or root of sdcard and ran the update app that's already on the phone. It had images of the app icon on the website.

      What's the root of the phone and the update app? My screen doesn't match the screen on JoyBuy's product page.

        The top, first directory with no higher directories.

        I should've said root directory.

    So i am in a similar situation, however my phone automatically updated to Android 8.0, is there a way to backtrack and update to Taiwan package?
