Hungry Jacks Now Charges Extra for Salads and Sauces. VIC ONLY

Hello, just letting everyone know that you will be paying extra if you want stuff added to your burger. details as follows:

Products:

50c for add & 25c for heavy - all salads, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, onions (pickles are exempt)
30c extra for promo LTO sauces & 15c all sauces: Smokey sauce, spicy sauce, ranch sauce, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, mustard
Important:

Charges apply to 'ADD or HEAVY' requests. No reductions apply for light or none

one thing to note is that let's say if you order a cheeseburger but you want minus ketchup add bbq sauce, you will still be charged 15c extra as removing the ketchup doesn't actually deduct 15c from the order.

    It's so pretty. It's almost a insult being charged 25c for anything these days. Sauces and veggies are so cheap I don't see the point.

      It's not so much the cost of the ingredients but the service cost. Amendments means time, which means money.

    I stopped going to HJ's ages ago due to crappy service and mouldy buns. Even more incentive to avoid. Thanks for making it easier HJ!

    Well, if I wanted to swap out the bbq from the burger for tomato sauce and I'm being charged extra, can they put the tomato sauce in the burger and then put the bbq sauce from the burger in a separate container? haha

    What's "add" and what's "heavy"?

      I guess "Add" is adding a sauce not normally there and "Heavy" is extra of the sauce already there.

    I didn't even know you could do all this. I'm not in Vic so I would like to try it out, what are people's recommendations to change?

      Order a cheeseburger. Then ask for "extra" lettuce, tomato, beetroot, onion. You now have a Whopper Jnr with cheese for half of normal price (plus bonus beetroot).

    This is now in WA - I was charged extra for heavy pickles ketchup and onions. The manager said that it was brought in about a month ago :/

    Got charged 50c for removing tomato and adding beetroot to my Whopper yesterday, girl that took my order didn't even mention it, I didn't know about it - Hungry Jack's Maroochydore, Qld. I only realised when I wondered where my frozen drink was that I ordered, but wasn't on my receipt, then spotted the surcharge.
