Looking for a Gaming Peripherals - Keyboard/Mouse

In the market to update my trusty Logitech G15 keyboard and MX518 Mouse.

Getting a bit old now and everyone says mechanical keyboards are all the rage.

What do you use?
Are you happy with it?
and in finally;
How much was it and where can I get one?

have the corsair k70, mx blue is really loud. but construction is soild, mostly metal. older k70s like mine had LED issues where many will die over time. it was ~120 at the time.

    Logitech G Pro keyboard
    Logitech G403

  • How to win at life if you're a proper IT enthusiast:

Vintage: IBM Model M Keyboard (mm so clicky)
Vintage: Microsoft Intellimouse with the trackball (mm cleaning off accumulated trackball lint is satisfying)

Live the dream and impress the ladies with some clicky keyboard action that can be heard from 4 miles away. Unless the sound of your mechanical keyboard keystroke can overpower the volume of your next door neighbour's motorbike, then you're doing it wrong.

  • k70 red switches

  • Stick with Logitech. Get the G913 wireless mechanical keyboard with romer g switches, and either the G903 wireless mouse if you're a gamer or the MX Master 2S wireless mouse if you're more into productivity.

  • Keyboard: G910 Orion Spectrum RGB
    Mouse: G502 PROTEUS SPECTRUM RGB

  • I have a Logitech G502, great all around gaming mouse. The Corsair Strafe RGB with cherry mx silent switches is also a good option and doesn’t have the extreme clicky ness (just a bit quieter, still clicky). It’s pretty quick, tactile and responsive. If you like the clicky ness I would go with any of the other Corsair keyboards like the k70.

K70 with Cherry MX Reds, night and day difference over squishy membrane keyboards. Only bad thing is if you have to use a membrane keyboard elsewhere for some reason it feels like attempting to type on a waterlogged sponge cake. Ran me a little over $100 at the time, great investment.

Mouse is a Razer Taipan I've had for 5 or 6 years and is the sturdiest bastard imaginable having being dropped and covered in liquid repeatedly.

  • I'm using Steelseries Rival 100 & Steelseries G6V2 (Cherry MX Black); very happy with it. The rival fits my hand perfectly and the keyboard uses black keys so there's a bit of resistance when it comes to typing which I prefer. I got my mice for about 40 and keyboard around 90.

As for purchasing peripherals, staticICE is a great website that lists every place that sells whatever you're looking for from lowest to highest in price.

Do some research in terms how how you grip your mice (claw/palm grip) etc. and if you want LEDs etc on your keyboard.

  • G502 mouse like some have suggested

    • What is the usual best price may look into this

  • Try this one:
Cooler Master Devastator 3 Mem-chanical Keyboard and Mouse Combo 7 Color LED

  • Using this now

    http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/X-4S-Mouse-USB-Wired-Optical-Gaming…

Great value gaming peripheral and accessories imho

Under $20 mechanical keyboard and under $20 mouse with rgb and extra buttons

    Couldn't find anything cheaper.

Use wish.com to find other deals also some good prices but they have a terrible search function can't sort by price etc it's all over the place but they do have nice pictures and reviews and pricing.

As always be careful and you get what you pay for.
