Have you ever inserted the wrong post into the wrong workbowl? I know I did, I put the black centre post into the 2L bowl instead of the white post, without reading the instruction booklet and as you know, once it is inserted and locked in, it won't twist out again. I contacted Russell Hobbs without success and they wanted me to buy the parts from them. Being an ozbargainer I would never spend that kind of money so I have mulled over it for months with many sleepless nights. Finally today, I managed to work it out and tadah! I did it. I was so excited I decided to let everyone in ozbargain know the solution.
If you take a look carefully at the black post, you will see three black 'hooks'. It is these 3 black 'hooks' that hold it down. Now if you insert the fork tine into the side of the 'hooks', it will lift them up slightly. You will need 3 forks altogether and all 3 forks must be inserted to work. Once the hooks are lifted, just twist and the black post should come out. You see, the 3 hooks are prevented from unhooking because of the ledges on the bowl so if you lift the hooks above the ledges, you can untwist it.
So ozbargainers, rejoice! I know I am because I can use it again.
