I dropped in to MSY today for a harddrive and saw a little sign on the counter saying 10% off all AMD CPUs. I confirmed with the guys behind the counter that it's for all AMD CPUs and not selected CPUs as the banner states on the website.
There are a few stores open on Sundays for those interested.
You better look for a Pentium 4. 😂

Nah yeah, if you ever owned an FX you'd know why… They would seriously warm your entire room.
@dyl: I don't though. Owned an FX-6300 (stock speeds mind you despite a 212x cooling it) and never understood the heater thing. It was always my GPU producing all the heat.
More was the 8 cores with the 125w TDP, but pushed 140 at stock, easily 160+ with minimal overclocking… Or the extreme 8 cores pushing 220-250w.
Was mainly seen in lower tier builds with a 750TI for example (very efficient card). Intel was making 65-95w CPUs around the same time that were also much better with saving power under lower loads.
I don't think they still stock FX chips, fam.
