Find Me Budget Earphones That Won't Fall out of My Ears

I've got a nice set of over-ear headphones that I use when needed at home or flying, but I like to have a set of earphones in my bag for occasionally listening to music or podcasts.

I've got the Ozbargain favourites, Xiaomi Piston Fresh Edition as well as a some earbuds that came with a previous Xioami phone. But these and all other in-ear earphones I've tried are really uncomfortable and even if I jam them in my ear they soon fall out even when I'm just sitting still. I've tried all the different sized rubber tips but none are much better than the others. I put it down to strange-shaped inner ears :-)

Would hook-on earphones be a solution? The ones I've seen are around $35-$80 for the budget ones so I'm a bit reluctant to buy them only to find that they're not comfortable either and end up joining the others in my drawer.

What do you recommend?

Edit - I've come across the Wavefun bluetooth headphones IPX7 sports earphones at US$15.39 (Au$24.70) incl shipping, which have got good reviews on that page and Youtube. Anybody tried them?

    I used the Mee Audio M6's back when the Rep used to have deals for them. Dirt cheap and has a V sound signature which I prefer. Better than the Xiaomi's. It has a memory wire hook so it helps keep it in place. However, everyone's ears are different. I've never heard any consensus on earphones that fit everyone. You just have to buy and see for yourself. Or you can keep your current earphones and see how comply ear tips work for you. Since they mould to your ear, it will secure a better fit. Or do both.

    I also find the rubber tipped headphones fall out. I got old school hard plastic buds with the fluffy covers.

    I also don't like the pistons… shame because they are so cheap! I've been pretty happy with Sony ones with the rubber tips over the years, can be found cheaper on eBay

      I'm currently using the Urbanears Kransens, very happy with the quality and fit in my ears well. With the eBay codes at the moment you can get a pair for about $24, I'm thinking of getting a backup now

    Comply foam tips were a game changer for me. Can't recommend them enough, they're well worth the $$.

    Search for Anker Wireless Headphones, Soundbuds Curve Bluetooth 4.1 Sports or something like that . Lots of positive reviews . You can get them on special sometimes for about $40 .
