There has been lots of PS4 DS Wireless Controllers for $49 recently.

So I am surprised to see a further drop to $46.55

You only get FREE shipping when the order is $49, so you will need to add 1-2 cheap items to the order. You can think of those items as freebies?? :)

  • Eb games has a good trade in deal running now for controllers, good if you have an old one that does not work good anymore.

Do you feel better now that you picked him up on that? Good for you.

        You're welcome

        Argh, no full stop.

      • fixed it for you ;)

        Argh, the grandma hurts!

        "does not work good anymore"

        Your welcome

        • first in line

Third in line. What a glorious day!

Maybe he's a graduate from the Derek Zoolander Institute for kids who can't read good and want to learn how to do other stuff good too?

      • -1

        I thought he did good.

      • +2

Reading pedantic comments about applying High School English "rules" which add nothing to understanding the comment is painful.

    • +2

That's pretty nasty for whoever receives it. Even if its warrantied by EB. People that behave like you break the good things in life for others.

      • -2

Not his fault. More EB's for doing a crappy job.

        • +4

Yes and no, to what degree should we expect people to not act deceptively in society even when they can get away with it?

        • +2

@Alzori: Why don't we worry about the largest businesses in Australia breaking laws to take your money instead.

The Commonwealth Bank aiding organised crime by being a money launderer is a much bigger issue and they are just one massive business of many that is a criminal organisation.

Despite laundering hundreds of millions of dollars nobody looks to be going to jail and instead they face a fine - so just a cost of doing business. The fine is obviously a joke because the Australian government has an arrangement in place to bail any of the big four banks out if they ever go out of business via their own actions. Using your tax dollars.

Stop voting LibLabs so this (profanity) idiocy stops.

        • +5

@Diji1: You're right that it's an issue we should be concerned about, but you're wrong if you think that big businesses breaking laws somehow means that we don't have to be accountable for our own actions. Their wrongdoing does not justify you, or take away the negative consequences of your choices.

Let me guess, $4.65 trade in store credit?

      • No doubt there were some grammar lessons thrown in.

    • How much approximately?

      • I just called my local and they said $27 lol

      • Just traded in my launch PS4 controller for $27 at EB and got a green camo one for $42 = $69-$27.

They wouldn’t price match Amazon for $59 though

        • Did you just bring in the controller itself or did you need the cables? I assume no cables because a controller comes with none, but just wanna make sure.

        • @Mrnmt:

And would they accept PS3 controller?

        • @Yummy: $2.70 trade in value? They might round it to $3 if you are nice

        • @wtfnodeal:
          LOL wtf thats no deal.

  • +4

Great price. However there is, sadly, hardly any need for a second controller these days since they don't release any local multiplayer games :(

    • +4

Thinking to get in preparation for overcooked 2

    • NBA, fifa, street fighter etc. Or just keep it as a spare you know controllers are now consumables last only 2 to 3 years

      • +4

That's not exactly true. My xbox 360 controllers still going strong after so many years. Same with wii and wii u.

Actually now that I think about it…. I've never had a broken controller.

        • Xbox and wii are the perfect examples of how to make a controller, have the ability to swap out the batteries, then they will last forever.

Sony are either dumb or pretty smart to have an internal battery which can't be switched out(well, not easily), like mobile phones, the batteries only last a few yrs before they can't hold charge properly.. then users just have to go out and buy replacements. Unfortunately, Nintendo have also gone down this route with the Switch's joy cons.

        • @CityEnd: PS3 battery can be swapped by removing like 4 Philips screws, surely PS4 is similar.

        • @Shibbyyy: Sure, but it's still "not easily" for the regular consumer, also sourcing a replacement battery is not that easy as walking into any store that sells AA batteries.

    • +1

Even outside of local multiplayer, I still find it convenient having 2 controllers as a luxury. I use my PS4 a lot for Netflix (and other streaming apps) and it's nice to have a full-charged controller at the ready if I've drained the battery on one. Rotating between 2 controllers also halves the wear-and-tear on the controllers, unfortunately these things don't last forever.

    • +1

Hardly any need? There are plenty of local multiplayer games available and there are plenty of other uses to have an extra controller besides local mp. What about if you would prefer to run wireless 24/7 and switch out controllers to charge instead of being tethered to a cable? What if you like concave sticks for fps but convex for everything else? You could swap the analogue sticks on one control and have a dedicated fps control. Could be used for spare parts for a special edition controller, for testing to see if your current controller is operating correctly.

  • A whole $2.45 saving. Plus having to wait for delivery and search for items to make $49 free shipping.

Umm… Have you met OzBargain before?

PS4 controller trades in for $46 with 50% trade in promo last month so it's like a new one.

    • You can trade in PS4 remotes for $46?

      • That's what I did last month with my 2x ps4 controllers.

        • Last month isn't of much help :(

        • That’s when they were selling them at full price $99 without the discount right?

        • @zzzman:

Thats true, but I didn't use the credit for a new controller but psn credits ^_^; they were nice as those controllers were bought from gumtree for $40 with problems and I told them the issues which they say they will take a few dollars off. So its like a clean $40-$50 psn credit for the extra work.

This activity is good for cheapskate gamers like me lolz

  • If u have ebworld and birthday bonus…… It should be free with a little credit.

  • Does this work with the Amazon $20 new users voucher?

Thanks for this. I have updated to show black version as well

    • Yes, it works.

      Items: $93.10
      Delivery: $5.99
      Order Total: $99.09
      Promotion(s) Applied: -$25.99
      Order Total: $73.10

(The $5.99 comes off after changing it to Free shipping).

  • Is this the v1 or v2? Looks like the v1 or am I looking at it wrong?

  • +2

For multiplayer games you need a friend to come out from behind their smartphone. How likely is that?

    • +2

      Probably unlikely, buy jackbox instead

  • I'm not sure if it's been posted but I've just seen these at eb for $49. Might be an option for anyone who can't wait for postage.

    • It has been. same with JB, BigW, gamesmen all $49, harvey $54 and target still $59

  • +1

If you have a Costco membership they're selling the PS4 controllers (black) for $44.99 atm. Plus you get Costco's awesome warranty/return policy.

    • V2?

      • Yup

  • +9

this is better if you use amazon20

there's a buy one get one free promo with video games here

    buy a controller, buy 2 $20 or less games, apply amazon20 = $46.55 delivered

    • +1

Thanks for the heads up on the promo.

Ended up with the controller, Dishonoured 2, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Singstar (to get over the $79 coupon haha).

$64, with the 10% NAB cashback and if the 5% cashrewards goes through. $54.40 all up.

      • The two games ($40) make up the gap.
Its weird but amazon20 comes first.

Take Amazon20=66. Get one game free=46
