Good price. I paid over $100 for mine.

Things to consider is that it has better night image quality at the expense of field of view and that mine was softbricked a couple of times but was resolved by updating the firmware.

    • How did you update the software? I'm going to have to look for my box… It's been an ongoing issue for me that it continually boots up (softbricked!).

Initially I thought it got fried in the heat

      • Plug the power into the camera instead of the GPS fixed the reboot loop for me.

        • Thanks mate, will give it a try later

      • It seemed like a common issue when I googled it.
I downloaded the firmware from the official site and put it on the microsd in the root folder. Putting the card back in and powering it up did the trick. iirc the power button lights up green and the screen turns blue to signify that the update process is going.

    • How did you discover it was softbricked?

      • +1

Screen wouldn't turn on at all and was not recording. I can't remember the details of the other time. Essentially, unresponsive and not functional.

  • thanks OP got one for the rear window

Out of stock. That was quick!

  • Damn, sold out already.

  • Out of stock at 12:00 noon.

  • Mine died in about 1.5 years , have been offered replacement for $50 USD. Not sure if I will bother , thought good camera if it is working.

The ad these guys use is directly copied from an Au sellers ad. They are not an Australian Distributor and is not via Aus post. They are in Hong Kong and, if legit, will arrive in 30 to 40 days they told me. Looked suss so I got a refund…
This is the ad they copied. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VIOFO-A119S-GPS-Dash-Camera-Reco…

Yep they seem to have blatantly copied the feelrainydays listing.

Heh that happens I posted an item before to sell and someone blatantly copy my listing and then price down on me. I lodged a complaint and ebay remove the other person's listing and gave warning.

I can't believe some people can be so lazy and unethical, also pretend to be local

    • Just contacted the seller (owner of images) and they have contacted eBay for it to be taken down.

  • Ahh just bought one WITHOUT the GPS/CPL last week for $94 on Banggood's Australian warehouse. Oh well. Hopefully shipping is faster (expecting 5 working days).

  • The mount these use don't cope with the Australian heat too well. Mine warped and allowed the camera to rattle/move. Jammed some paper in it. Any pressure on it while hot typically breaks them.

    • My A119S V2 arrived last week with felt cutouts with adhesive to stick onto the mount to prevent rattling.

  • Son of a ……. that was quick.

So this might have been fake?

  • A popular choice, but also over rated. Poor user interface, dodgy connectors, buggy firmware, and image quality is not that flash at all.

Paid around $120 last year, unlikely to buy again.

    • sympathy for ur counterfeit camera , guess u must bought from this seller. all my family members are using viofo, being with them for one and half year so far, still cant find anyth else that could beat the value as yet.

      • It was from a reputable source, so totally legit. Guess expectation was set too high from all the rave.

  • Has anyone who bought this actually received it yet?

I have been watching the listing go out of stock and back in, all while the "This seller is currently away, and isn't processing orders at this time" message has remained up top.

    Seems sus…

    • I believe its a dodgy seller. Copy and paste from some AUS seller's listing even though this seller is from HongKong.
Bought something from Clearlovex mid June and still waiting… they provided tracking number but could be the usual Ebay scam (empty box to a random address in your suburb). Will have to wait and use "I received an item that wasn't as described" to request refund.

Its a scam, i received a 3 fake lego pieces.

    • Did you raise a ebay return case?

    • Yeah you did get jibbed, I got 4 pieces in my package! Ebay return lodged.

      • I just got mine and got 2 lego pieces.

      • you must be really lucky :)

    • I received two Lego pieces yesterday. I have lodged a eBay and PayPal case to get a full refund.

      • Comment back from eBay seller:

"hi friend, so sorry for this case ,
I have contacted the post office to track the package ,
        still waiting their reply ,
and friend, i will check my warehouse ,
then will solve this case for you ,
        thanks , best regards"

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Let me know what you guys also get.

        • Seller said
"hi friend, so sorry for this case ,
my warehouse staff made the mistake , sent many wrong items to different buyers ,
          I have dismissed he ,
do you still want it ?
if you still want it , I will send new package to you , ok ?
          thanks , best tegards"

I replied requesting a refund, which was responded with:

"friend, what's your PayPal email, I will make refund."

          Lol

        • @Andrewk35: Actually that might be legit, there's not much they can do with your email, without password.

Sometimes they have thousands of transactions to look at in their history, easier to just refund to an address?

        • So the seller is now sending me the item again and ensures this one will be correct. Got the seller to confirm my address and tracking number, so hopefully all goes well.

Will let you know when/if I receive it this time.

        • @tcoates:

All the best. Make sure you receive it before your PayPal 60 day refund window.

    • That's shit. Make sure you report the listing for fraud too.

  • Had ordered a XIAOMI Mi BOX from this seller. For the first time in all of my Ebay purchases the parcel is marked as return to sender in tracking as it was sent to the wrong address. I think this is a scam and you should approach Ebay. In case I ever receive it (which I doubt after looking at the feedback of the seller this month) I will update post.

    • Keep us updated. I just got my money back from PayPal and have submitted a claim with eBay regarding this seller.

      • Lodged a claim with Ebay and got a refund.
