Cheapest in Australia seems to be $999/- at Audiotrends with coupon 'Denon2400' (thanks
Dreamcazman)

Likely no warranty support from local distributor

The previously submitted deal is marked as expired

Product page say 'does not ship to australia' but if you add to cart it lets you ship down under.

New version x2500h has been released but not much of a difference compared to this 2017 model

Very good reviews

    • Bizarre! I ordered on 16th and it's yet to ship. Says 'dispatching soon'. ETA has always been 29 June to 3 July or something. I'm in no rush but keen to see it on the way.

    • i ordered 17th and mine has not shipped.

but looking at my internet banking theres an authorisation there yesterday from amazon for $660 odd. i need to get a 28 degrees! something is happening atleast.

Found the whole ordering process a drama. they canned my first one and locked the account because they thought i was hacked. Got back in and ordered again on the 17th. then got the good news email saying it was to ship earlier than expected (on the 18th)… still hasnt shipped. I email them and say wtf are you sending those emails if 5 days later its still not shipped and their response is "that email is invalid, please ignore it.".

  • Ordered on 13th of June and only shipped on the 19th with delivery date of 03 July. Weird how there's so much difference.. It was also shipped with Aramex rather than DHL.

  • Anyone else who ordered on the weekend of this deal being posted still got this pending for shipment? 30 June is getting mighty close! (I think I ordered on 16/6)

    • Check your CC to see if Amazon has charged for it. If so you should be OK.

  • Nothing here.
    Ordered 17th.
They've assured me it's leaving before the 28th.
Don't get the delay. Especially when I got an email saying it will be sent on the 17th.
Suspect they're delaying till the end of the month then will say sorry we can't send this to you now.

    • Yes, seems a little odd. Last time I checked it was still in stock. Amazon sometimes does have a delay between order and shipment but 10 days and counting is pushing it…

      • Just got my dispatch email.
Should be here on the 3rd

        • Likewise! It's on the move! ETA 2 Jul

        • Still waiting for mine unfortunately

  • Mine got delivered this morning!

  • Got mine today as well. If yours get delated beyond the last day of the original delivery period be sure to get onto amazon and ask for a refund of the shipping.

    • Was yours delivered by UPS? Looks like they're handling mine - wondering if I can contact them and have it redirected to my parcel locker (Aust Post). Not sure if they'll hand it on or now. Some couriers don't.

      • Fookos, any delivery yet with ups ?
Mines meant to arrive with ups today.
Not bad since it was sent on the 26th.
Nervous though. Google reviews of ups Australia give them a smashing. 1.7 stars.

        • Supposed to arrive today - not here yet. Doesn't look to have landed in Oz yet but tracking may just have yet to update this morning.

      • Mine was Aramex then Auspost

  • Hi Guys, My denon AVR2805 just kicked the bucket so I'm in desperate need of a new receiver and this looks like a deal. Quick question though as I haven't got my head around the new GST rules just yet. If I order today am I exempt from it because it's before July 1st or as it will arrive after that am I likely to be slugged with it?

    Thanks

    • It's not really clear (at least to me), particularly with a seller that doesn't charge your card till shipment (like Amazon).

If you purchase today, I'm not sure if they'll be required to enforce tax when they charge your card next financial year, or if they will take the initial transaction as the agreement and correct price based on meeting requirements of the time when 'buy now' was pressed.

Hopefully someone else can clarify for you. Worse case scenario you'll be hit with another AUD$65 - still a competitive price.

Note: Looks like there's a 3-5 week wait for stock.

      Mine is being delivered today.

  • Mine just got delivered by UPS!!! Their estimated delivery was way out from what they originally quoted (some time in mid-late July), and still out from their then revised delivery estimate (early July).

  • Received mine yesterday, after only ordering on the 21st June . Very happy that it was delivered this side of the (financial) year! Works out of the box with my AU kettle cable, and all the text on the receiver and remote are in English.

    • Touchdown for me today - was delivered unexpectedly as the tracking didn't reflect it was on the road, but updated to 'delivered' quickly after it was dropped.

Wasn't planning to test out the beast until redoing my setup (looking to add a projector to the mix), but guess I should test it out to make sure it's okay in case it's DOA (hopefully not!).

  • Had two orders cancelled as they said my account had been hacked. I missed the email about the first one so I wasted a couple of weeks and only placed the second order yesterday. I just got the second "we've cancelled your order and reset your account" email, and tried to place an order for the third time. This time I was blocked when I got to the shipping address selection - ie. last step of the process, not just the initial product page. It now has a message in red saying "We are unable to ship non-digital items from amazon.de to Australian shipping addresses." It looks like it's all over for Amazon.de shopping in Australia. :(

If anyone bought one and is now having buyers remorse and lives in Melbourne I would gladly take it off your hands.

    • Very sorry to hear that. That's harsh… Hope another deal pops up that's, at least, sub-$1000.

      • Amazon doesn't ship to Australia anymore when bought on non-Au Amazon sites

        • Yes, I know. I wasn't suggesting Amazon.de or any other Amazon site would be this unfortunate guys alternative source.

  • I received mine by ups in double quick time after it was dispatched.
I really just wanted a stereo amp but this thing makes music sound very good especially using the usb and my turntable where I thought had a bad cartridge.
It appears that my Gale speakers were too thirsty and were not driven properly by my old Denon. I should have bought 2 of these as $645 will never be repeated in the land of Oz.
