Hey peeps
Looking for some ideas on what to buy on upcoming trip to usa that's gonna be cheaper than in Oz. I assume most electronics and clothes will generally be cheaper? Would appreciate any advice… Thanks in advance.

With current exchange rate, not a lot to be honest.
Best thing would be clothes/shoes IMHO, but definitely check in store first via your mobile what the Australian prices are prior to purchasing, and take in to account US State tax and exchange rate.
Honestly, only things I buy in the USA these days when on vacation (and I'm there pretty much every year), is sports clothing/merchandise where I get stung for massive shipping, and stuff I can't get here, usually 5 Hour Energy Shots, candy, etc.
In & Out….
Everything sitting in your amazon wishlist
walmart sell refurbished iPhone 6 for US$99.
they are not in-store. though you can purchase on line and pick up from a store.
buy a bunch and resell in Aus on facebook market place.
for your duty free booze on the way back - don't buy from duty free. if you're flying out of LAX then head to the Traders Joes abolut 2kms north of LAX on Sepleverde Drive (main road from LAX). they have a single malt scotch for US$19. made & bottled in scotland. nice. if you go past the 365 Supermarket on Glendale Blvd then stop in and get some of their 360 Vodka at $9 a bottle - very smooth, on par with absolut.
Or buy some tequila, many stores like RiteAid sell them in 1.75L plastic bottles, which dont break so you can place in checkin luggage
In Hawaii now and just bought USBs and Micro SDs for the GoPro - about 40-50% cheaper than your JBs and Hardly Normals.
bump stock?
AR-15
visit their Costco. plenty of stuff to bring home.
You need to be a member but I would agree apart from that. There are things in Costco over there you can't get here.
The guy at costco said I could use my Aussie costco membership in the US as well. Wroth a try?
thanks for the heads up, will try that next time.
The idea that much is cheaper in the US has very much gone out. Electronics by the time you covert the price and add in the consumer laws in Australia you save maybe $200 at the most which would be the cost of a extended warranty over there.
Clothes are a little cheaper (Levi’s are about $40AUD at macys) they have a better range of cookware if you’re into that.
Make sure you add on tax if you haven’t already to the prices.
Grass - you can be it legally at a much cheaper price than here
Cant bring it back though.
Bring it back in your veeeiiiinnnnsssss
Clothing is cheap.
If you like peanut butter m&ms, then buy heaps and ship it back.
I agree with others that the pricing of things in America have become comparable to stuff out here; the advantage is if you can stay in one place enough to get free shipping.
Look at the outlet places and the shopping centres when they are having clearance sales.
Oh man. This has been asked so many times before….
I got Sonos gear one trip and raymarine gear another trip.
:)
walmart is good for inexpensive booze to place carefully in your check in luggage for the way back.
Clothing, some electronics and thing you would not find at home (visit Cotsco). You should also read this: https://www.myus.com/blog/global-shoppers-buy-from-usa/
tbh electronics are generally not worth it. Unless you're into high end dell laptops (i.e. alienware). Every other brand is much of a muchness
