On another note I have tried hush puppies and Julius Marlows before and find they last on average under a year. Florsheims last a bit longer. Just my 2c
Most shoes when worn regularly will wear out within 10- 18 months, that is expected. Even the very expensive ones $300+ won't last more then 18 months if you wear them daily!
I've now realised that leather shoes should not be worn everyday. They absorb moisture and should be allowed to dry out preferably with a wooden shoe stretcher.
They therefore need to be rotated. Also need to clean shoes and polish.
Having said that there must be some advantage of a Goodyear welted shoe costing $300+ over a $100+ cemented shoe especially if from the same company
I say 2 pairs of causal Hush puppies Jurgens for $110 is a bargain. Cheapest I could find elsewhere on the interwebs was $79 for a pair.
Having said that I haven't received an order confirmation yet.
