      Not sure what you mean by this, but if it's the fact that Maasdam cheese is not technically a Swiss cheese (it originates funnily enough from Maasdam in Holland) then it's a +1

        A couple of time recently, Maasdam on specials at Woolies was Dutch. This is most probably Dutch Maasdam, because it's either that sometimes confused the name or it's not even from Europe as there's no such thing as "Swiss Maasdam" - that would be simply Emmental. Maasdam is rather "Dutch Emmental" and Jarlsberg is "Norwagian Emmental".

        Original Maasdam is not vegetarian, by the way.

    Why free? You mean the barcode still scanned at the full price? or just the label wasn't marked down?

      label wasnt marked down, so just took it to the counter and just said that this was meant to be half price.

      However, went back today and the same cheese was $18.xx. Couldn't find one that looked like the online picture so no cheese for me today lol. I got the Frico one initially, not sure if that was the one that was meant to be on offer.

        They only give it to you for free if the scanned price at the checkout is higher than what was labeled on it.

        @jdogg: Yup, half of the same cheeses were marked down to the $9.49 (new label on top of old), half werent. Same dates and everything. If the person says no, it isnt on special, then i would just proceed with a refund, walk back in and buy the half priced one instead.
