We are looking for some holiday options for 2-3days during school winter break.
So what have you thought about and what have you ruled out already?
pretty late bookings wise~ but here are a few suggestions.
- cockatoo island - back to nature in the middle of sydney harbor. There are camping options (with already set up tents) or other forms of brick & mortar accommodation on the island. BBQ, nature walks, harbor lights, etc fun times~
- 3 day Cruise sampler - Cruise ship that just does a 3 day loop without landing anywhere to get off. It's good to not have to pack and unpack daily, all you can eat food at all times of the day, proper a la carte dinner nightly, entertainment for you and the kids. Kids club also means you can drop kids off, and enjoy some us time~ I just liked that everything was accessible, there was no rush, no hassles
- Snowy Mountains - I would take a 3 day bus tour w/ accommodation of course, just to avoid having to drive. Kids would love playing in the snow, tobogganing, building a snowman, snowball fight etc
- Just book a hotel/serviced apartment in the city, so everything is in walking distance. Enjoy Vivid, good city dining, catch a movie at the cinemas or just chill in the apartment facilities such as indoor heated pool, luv their sauna in winter etc
I've done all of the above when planning short trouble trips. None of the above options left me needing a holiday after our holiday.
