        • @kellydiana: That eBay vendor is $102.35 cheaper with 99.9% positive feedback from 92,565 sales and your product page has no reviews whatsoever. Have I got that right?

@PJC: Well, I found some reviews and I must leave a neg as I feel there is a major issue with this seller.

          https://www.truelocal.com.au/business/elan-linen/south-melbo…

DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! Asked if they had product in stock, they confirmed they did. Said it would be quickly dispatched and delivered. Followed up after a week, they said they did not have any and they were expecting some in the next day. 2 days later, still nothing. Continually chased up over the next 6 weeks. 2 months later I tried to cancel the order and get a refund, they refused. Lies, lies and more lies….. I have the email proof. Find an alternative supplier, pay more, but do not use this company

          and

No Product - No Refund . Buyer beware. Goods I ordered were not in stock, it took two weeks of me trying to ring the phone number that does not answer and sending emails to find this out. Another 2 weeks and they will not respond to my emails requesting a refund. Currently in dispute resolution through Paypal

          and

Don't waste your time. Slow delivery, no stock, terrible customer service and failure to communicate issues with order. I had to constantly email to get a reply and 2 weeks later, still don't have my order. Get it together Elan Linen. Will not be shopping with you again.

There seems to be an ongoing problem here

Very Disappointing - Goods did not arrive and credit request was poorly managed I ordered items which were identified as 'in stock' and estimated delivery 3 - 7 days. My credit card was debited straight away. Goods did not arrive so I contacted Elan Linen to be told that part of the order should have been received and the remainder would be delivered within a few days. Apology was given for delay and I was told that they would check and advise, but I did not get another email or call. I phoned them again and sent an email the following week only to be told that I should have received the items by now. I asked for tracking details and they could not provide it. I was eventually told that the items which I should have received were not in stock and I should wait a few more days for the other items. I requested a full refund and was told that would be organised as a priority. I waited 5 days and still had not received the credit. Subsequent phone calls resulted in a very rude and arrogant response. Research indicates that this company does not actually have the stock, they are just a distributor for other warehouses etc. My advice is be very careful if you decide to purchase from this company - I wonder how much interest they earn by taking your money without ensuring the stock is held at the warehouses and then delaying the credit process for lengthy periods

It seems they are drop shippers who have frequent supply problems

        • @xev: Well found! That explains why their product page has no reviews and Associated OP's refusal to name vendor in title.

        • +3

          @PJC: And there is more!!

        • @xev: Good work! I notice Associated OP is now silent.

        • +3

          @PJC: I'm not finished yet!

          From Whirlpool:

          They're not legit.

It's run by a guy(s) named Abdul/Ashah based in Pakistan, who also runs a torrent site and another home based site called Rushk.

          As a note:
          - Elan Linen is advertised as based in Victoria
          - Rushk is advertised as being based in Queensland

Both have the same owner, ABN, registrants etc.
The addresses they used on their site are just random and belong to other companies/owners.

My fiancee made the mistake of placing an order with them last year that I had to clean up. They are just drop shippers, but they don't actually place an order with a supplier. If you do ever get through by phone, it transfers you to a VOIP line to a lady overseas (confirmed this with Telco.)

          These are the 2 guys:

@xev: I ordered a bedspread while I was visiting my son 3 weeks ago. Elan linen had a sizeable collection to choose from. I came across some bad reviews about delayed deliveries after I had placed my order. I rang them straight away and explained that I needed the bedspread as a gift for my son before I fly back to Britain within 1 week. Kelly promised me that there will no problems and I will have my order in time and that is exactly what happened. Received the bedspread within 3 days in perfect condition. Superior quality at a fraction of what I pay in the UK. Highly recommended online store especially for bedding!

@xev:I placed an order on 2/6 and the same day i received my invoice, on the 7/6 i received my tracking information and today (9/6) my order arrived. The whole order is there and everything is perfect. I read the reviews after i'd made my order and i was sceptical but i can't fault the customer service, particularily the live chat. I mentioned that i had read the reviews and was reminded that there are also great reviews about the company that we rarely get to see and unfortunately only see the negative ones. My experience with Elan Linen was great and I will use them again.

@kellydiana: Some recent reviews for you:

          Jun 05, 2018

If only I’d known what I know now, I’d never have ordered from Elan Linen.
I ordered a lamp on the 19th Sept 2017 and am STILL waiting for either the product or a refund. Online, the product is apparently in stock however over the phone I was told it was out of stock and would be refunded the money. Still waiting. I’m disgusted that people think it’s ok to steal money in this way.

          May 22, 2018

As with a lot of the other reviewers they took money from my account straight away ,no parcel arrived and no refund.
          A month later still nothing.
Where they get people in, is that when you are ordering online they don't indicate that the item is OUT OF STOCK ( which most legitimate companies do) and you can not generally order as the "add to cart" indicates out of stock.
This mob operates on a "stock to order basis "which means they need to get a certain amount of orders and money up front to purchase the items we have ordered from them . This is why we can be waiting months to get our paid for items , that's if you're lucky to get them at all. So this is where the deception is happening!!!
I have since found I could get the same item at Spotlight $20.00 cheaper and have it arrive within 3-4 days from ordering.
It seems to me that Manchester websites seem to be notorious for this kind of thing.
Silly me, I should have read the product review before I ordered from them and saved all this unnecessary
angst and had my goods here within 3-4 days .
My advice is, do your homework first !!

          Apr 22, 2018

I placed an order on the 1st of March 2018 online with all my correct details.

Fablinen dispatched my purchase with an incorrect address (post code to be exact). I had to follow up few times (after 29 days of waiting) and finally found out from the courier service being used that the package was at their depot. Given that nearly a month had passed since I finally found out where my package was, I ended up buying from somewhere else and told Fablinen to take their item back and refund my purchase.

My purchase was promptly returned and my refund nowhere to be seen (two weeks later) despite having an email indicating 2-3 days was when I would see my refund back on my card.

After sending an email to Fablinen for an explanation with regards to my refund I got a reply 3 days later saying that I would hear back within 24 hours. 3 days have since passed and now I've lodged a claim through my bank to reverse the charge. I'll also be looking to lodge a complaint with the small claims tribunal as this shouldn't go on.

I find this whole episode very disappointing given that I make a lot of purchases online and do go out of my way to support local Australian businesses. Clearly this organisation need to review their internal processes as they are not suited to operate in the online retail industry.

          Apr 17, 2018

I have been trying to deal with these people for nearly a month. I purchased over $700 of goods and after all this time have received nothing and no refund. Products listed as 'in stock' were not, they did not respond to emails and gave false information. Do not order from them under any circumstance.

          Mar 20, 2018

No refund or delivery 3 months after sheet set order.
The Fab linen website has reverted to Elan linen again with the same phone number.
I am being blamed for the lack of refund. It is suggested that I incorrectly entered my email address on the initial order. I have however successfully received a falsely reassuring email since then.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has successfully ordered through this company. I however suspect all positive reviews are not authentic.

I can do this at least 11 more times

Edit: to be fair they did reply to that last one and the reviewer followed up with this

Thank you for removing the link above that detailed my name, home and postal address, mobile number, part VISA card number and expiry date. (!!!!!!)

Fab linen and Elan linen are the same company.

I have contacted the wholesaler involved who did not receive any request in the last three months to fill my order.

Fablinen and Elan linen are a company that lies and when called out, blame the customer and retaliate aggressively by publishing personal details on line.

This is not a safe company to deal with

I have now received a refund for my $250. It was not worth the the risk to my security that the request cost me.

          Bloody hell!

        • +2

@xev: But you don't understand! There were circumstances re the September to last Tuesday delay, for which we await OP's explanation. The company name has changed. So has ownership according to OP, for which we await proof. This item is a bargain even though it is cheaper at Harvey Norman and Associated OP's other website. Stock levels were altered at will on Sunday night. Both product pages lack reviews because content customers are busy. It isn't sensible paying $57.60 for merino wool when you can try your luck actually getting this for $102.35 more. Privacy and security are over-rated concepts anyway. You can be so unreasonable!

          So very unreasonable!

        • @xev: Oh come on! Obviously it is now a new 10 because they sold the earlier 10 at $159.95 to OzBargainers (all too busy to plus-vote) after seeing my eBay link for $57.60. Stock levels already altered tonight and now you see the necessity. Have I got that right OP?

        • @xev:

And this comment says that they were banned permanently. I wonder what happened?

And no guessing to see if you are one of the lucky buyers who actually get their purchase or one that will spend weeks or months having to call and email to see if you will or won't get a refund.

        • @xev: When a member of our extended family wants a quilt they call me and I order another and change the delivery address accordingly. Nothing but praise so far. Mar 15, 2018

Do not purchase from Fab Linen, formerly Elan Linen. They take your $$ and do not deliver the product you ordered.
Check out the whirlpool forum on this company. I found out too late :(

          Mar 09, 2018

Appalling customer service from a company that is advertising and taking money for products they cannot supply. I called them last week as my products still had not arrived and the order was still ‘processing’. They promised an answer within 24hours. 6 days later still no communication despite leaving voice messages to be called back. I contacted them via email tonight as they are not answering the phone and found that they cannot supply the products they are still currently advertising. They will apparently refund me but never should have taken the money in the 1st place if they did not have the products in stock. Unfortunately I ordered from this company before reading the reviews under this name and also under its previous name. My advice is to avoid this company and order from a more reputable company. I will not be ordering from this company again.

          Mar 01, 2018

After reading the reviews here, I'm even more worried this is a scam and I'll lose the $125 I paid. Ordered 10 days ago. Was asked for extra money from the get go because of a glitch in their online coupon discount system which meant I paid less than I was meant to. A week after I ordered, I get an email that one of the items is no longer available. At one point, I was asked to pay yet more money for a replacement item although I'd initially been told I could choose any set of swaddles as a replacement. I was also assured that I would get my items this week and on this basis, I agreed to retain my order rather than cancel and be refunded. Still waiting for the delivery - 1 more day to go tomorrow before the end of the week. Hope it arrives.

          Dec 28, 2017

Ordered 2 cushions, after emails and phone calls I did get 1 cushion…..not what I ordered and have never recieved the other cushion. I have never had a problem ordering online so I think this shop is a scam…….don't go there !!!!

I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing from them. Even sent an email asking me for more money before they would dispatch item. NO I'm not going to pay any more and ACCC + Fair Trading have been notified of the unconscionable behaviour. Like other people have said they do not answer phone or email. Please everybody don't go near these guys

I'm happy to keep going, this well is nowhere near dry

        • @kellydiana:

I ordered a bedspread while I was visiting my son 3 weeks ago. Highly recommended online store especially for beddin

Splendid! So very trusting despite reading some bad reviews! Have you a link for that review please?

@kellydiana: That's not from the person I quoted on whirlpool or from the person who made the thread. You are quoting someone else. It is clear that you are only refunding some of the people who are calling you out in public.

Here are all the comments from the person who made the thread.

Posted 2017-Aug-31 - Hi, just making this thread to warn you all of Elan Linen, DO NOT buy from them, I wish I'd read the terrible reviews first before I had myself. I purchased a quilt from them 10 days ago for $160, which I had to use my debit card (couldn't use PayPal), still haven't received any confirmation that it's been posted. Sent another email yesterday but still no reply, rang them twice today, rang out on both occasions. Needless to say I'm now quite worried I'll never receive the item or be able to get a refund. Anyone else dealt with this mob?

          and

Posted 2017-Sep-1 - I rang again last night and after several rings, this lady answered, she was speaking rather quietly, told me it will be sent out in the next day or two; still nothing as of now.

Thanks for the heads up, will ring my bank on Monday arvo if I still haven't received an email by then (will probably ring regardless). I said 10 days in the OP but that was wrong, I bought this on the 19th so it's been a couple of weeks now. Makes you wonder how they're still operating.

          and

Posted 2017-Sep-1 - Perhaps.. But they still didn't reply to my email. It all seems dodgy. Also they've had a ton of 1 star reviews on sites like productreview.

          and

Posted 2017-Nov-30 - Alright I've come back on to follow up on this as requested. I have now been refunded in full and returned the quilt (which luckily I still had as I was unable to sell it on eBay (I bought a second quilt not long after I made this thread)).

The man who runs this company was helpful and didn't hesitate in refunding me even before I sent the quilt back, and I was later reimbursed in full for the return costs also.

However, this doesn't take away from what happened and why I made this thread in the first place. You and/or your staff need to communicate better with your customers and not leave them in limbo about whether or not their order has even been sent. I would not have made this thread if I was informed that there would be a delay in shipping, but as I did not receive a reply to my email and after reading reviews, I felt inclined to warn others.

Fix your communication problems and you may actually get some more positive reviews and fewer negatives.

you are just marketing your ebay store you are associated with the store and selling unbranded products …

@PJC: Here's a lower price from a store a few of us have heard of:-

          https://www.davidjones.com/Product/20079145/All-Season-Austr…
          $149.95 - 10% Take an extra 10% on already reduced quilts etc. = $134.95

@xev: Gosh! The fake stuff you come up with to promote your eBay store!

        • @PJC: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2662637
so next time spreading fake news first get your facts straight

        • @PJC: You have been interested in bargin from the start except another person and you are using sales pitches in comment so its come straight its just a marketing tactics that you are doing for that ebay store

@kellydiana: Because it wasn't much of a bargain to start with; that's why he's calling you out on it.

You really should stop posting comments as from a PR perspective, your comments are becoming unhinged through unfound accusations and are causing further damage to your company's reputation …

        • @xev: Why are you ignoring the positive review?
Its a fact anyone of the customer is not dis point e have refund policy and our product are delivered to right person and barriers could be created but we have overcome
We satisfying our customer full and still orders are placed daily basis and products are delivered on daily basis
the whirlpool forum you are sharing use its end comment what the person is saying who started the thread

@xev: why are you ignoring the last comment
why are you spreading fake news and marketing some ebay store

        • @PJC: because you are is just sharing negative one and people who visits our site dont ignore the positive one so your tactics wont let us down we will achieve higher levels
you are the one who is spreading this news this reviews this customer were satisfied but they dont remove the reviews when the job is done although it is been the problem with every store
I have offered you if you like you can visits I will personally be meeting you

I have offered you if you like you can visits I will personally be meeting you

        • @PJC: when you are dealing with hundred and thousands of customer and only 10 to 12 people review this then it is a good ratio and even 10 to 12 people were satisfied but time being
but you wont understand as you have nothing else to do in this world except degrading others in OZ

        • @kellydiana: One comment does not overcome the mountain of negative reviews.

I am not marketing any eBay store. I have no connection to any eBay store. I simply said it was a good deal and would have more confidence buying from them that from you.

Purchasing from you would be like playing a game of Russian roulette.

        • @PJC: I am sure you are david jone rep or a commission agent f you see our site we offer price challenge if you see lower anywhere we can match this but although the price of our quilt is lower like if you see the banner on our site using promo code will get you discount and subscribing to newsletter will get you discount so all this make this cheaper but although if dont know how to shop online or get the discounts I get teach you
