Not for me personally but always happy to see diverse deals popping up on OzBargain. Welcome to our community Bamboo Crown.

  • Thanks for the genuine offer, OP. Not for me, I like my electric toothbrushes. Hope someone else cashes in on the deal!

What makes them eco friendly? They say they last just as long as plastic if you don't leave wet, so you have to spend more time looking after it. Nothing about them being recyclable either?

    • Exactly what I was thinking.Recycling plastic is better than landfill bamboo.

      • +5

In theory this could be true, however most plastic toothbrushes end up in landfill so something compost able like bamboo is more ecofriendly.

Furthermore while the handle is bamboo if it's like the others I've looked at the bristles are still nylon. Since they're in the handle the whole thing would just be chucked in the dump because its not just plastic and not just wood so can't be conventionally recycled.

PSA: nothing against OP and his/her business but dentists don't recommend using Medium or Hard strength bristles because it can damage teeth and gums.

Use only soft bristles and gentle pressure. No hard scrubbing dudes and dudettes.

    • Agree, soft option for these would be preferable

  • I get 12(soft) for $40(delivered) at https://environmentaltoothbrush.com.au
The packaging on these looks less eco as well.

Thanks for the feed back guys, so people would prefer soft bristles overall and 12 brushes for $40 is a great deal. I will see if I can do something like that too. The problem with Plastic toothbrushes are they all end up in landfills and the ocean, thats just the reality of it, no one recycles them and this is a huge problem the planet is facing. The packaging is cardboard so its much less damaging to the environment too and yes the bristles are nylon. These are not the perfect solution but are a 95% improvement to this huge problem we're facing so maybe just focus on that for now. If people start buying more products like this then im sure more and more will start being produced and we will start making the perfect environmentally friendly alternative products. But lets not wait until then, pointing out all of the faults in what we can be doing about it today, I believe its time for change. I hope you can see the positive in that
