  although if they were planning a IRC/chatroom, it could possible be same as general discussion only faster

    I would prefer something web based so I don't need a client.

    I guess there is always web based irc clients.

      Most IRC network has web based clients and there's also Mibbit that allows you to connect to most IRC network from their site.
