Use public transport. For everyone's sake.
If you go by car, you will be sleeping in traffic for a while on a Sunday.
Sydney public transport stinks (we’ve a story to go with this). One should always drive to the cbd when possible.

Hope they increase parking fees.
Opal fares are increasing. So there is no reason why parking fees shouldn’t do the same.

For in-n-out visits to the fish markets where you're stuck with a car the Broadway Shopping Centre can be useful. First 2 hours free, then I think $6 if you creep into the next hour (making the trek pointless if you can exit in an hour but more than 15 minutes) and then the price shoots up.
20 minutes walk each way.
We get the train to Central and then take the tram. Door to door.
There again, we just go to eat, not to buy raw fish.
The Star carpark is not far if you or someone you know is a gold or above member.
Pay for the parking lot at the fish market, or pay for street parking on Harris St and enjoy the walk.
Time is money.
2hrs free at the tram sheds
Maybe on Sundays I think Street parking (eg wattle St) is free (Dont quote me it's been a while since I've been so may have changed)
Also if u spend over a certain amount at some retailers u can get your ticket validated (i forget the amount… 80 or 100 or thereabouts)
