Looking for a slim <8mm thick watch for work. I don’t have massive wrists and get annoyed at thick watches always catching on shirt sleeves. Best fit I found was Longines evidence tonneau shape but out of my price range. Not a lot of choice in the shops unfortunately! Will spend up to $500 and looking for something that will last years… any recommendations? Thanks!

DW watches are crap even for the very low discounted price they are sold for, sorry
why are they crap?
what makes them so?
Cheap rubbish movement and low quality parts I assume
3 dollar Chinese parts.
Decent Swiss brand fairly priced

in the meantime, I tend to wear a watch until I am bored with it then I put it in a drawer with all the previous watches and then move on to the next one. I'll buy a watch for it's looks rather than its brand. price also is highly influential.
with that said - aliexpress.
e.g. sanda, sinobi. they both have 7mm thick watches.
hmm .. subs 'watch' with partner
Try Skagen. some of them are quite thin.
Movado Ultra Slim at 6mm.
Longines. My wife has had hers for ages. Recently just had a full serviced.
Citizen Eco-Drive Stiletto series are all under 5 mm and have sapphire glass. Priced around 200 to 350 AUD depending on the finish.

Actually this is not too bad for 500 AUD as phunkydude have suggested. It is a conventional quartz watch though.

I'll probably get negged for this but Casio A158WA is 8 mm thick and fits slim wrists quite well, can be had for less than 40 dollars and will probably last a decade in battery life.
Swatch Skin range?

Hamilton Intra-Matic… but maybe a little over budget.
