Wow I didn't know competitors still continued to pretend they are customers on these things - very professional.
      Do the Math
      99.95 +6.90 = $106.85
      94.95 + 16.05 = $111.00

      • +7

In which case please add the delivery cost to the title.
        Should read something like

"BlueAnt S4 Bluetooth Speakerphone on Sale $99.95 + $6.90 delivery"
        or
"BlueAnt S4 Bluetooth Speakerphone on Sale $106.85 delivered"

Thank you Trance N Dance for your constructive feedback.

Why don't u do the maths!

        PICKUP AT PICKUP POINT: $0.00

        • +3

I dont live in Vic, so I guess in order for me to take advantage of the $94.95 pickup price, I better start driving there. Actually, I should power walk to save petrol money.

        • @JLove - You'll get get use of your bluetooth speakerphone on the long drive home!

  • Who are you?

That's great news, if they are located near you I would prefer them support local business's. I encourage anybody located in your area to support business's in that region.

I don't feel the approach you are taking is of a professional nature.

    • +1

It's not professional, this isn't a job. Even for the mods this isn't a job.

While I agree that you seem to be the cheapest, as you've provided the maths yourself it appears you're all of ~3.5% cheaper after delivery.

Which isn't worth a negative vote, but is hardly worth a positive vote.

EDIT If you read the guidelines you're meant to post a link directly to the deal, not just to your website.

      • I did try this but it hasn't seemed to update itself. Not intentional- just an honest mistake.

  • i smell trolls

    • +4

When did OzBargain become a online forum full of negativity. This is my first post on this website and may be my last. I am not looking for peoples opinions, if I wanted that I would ask. The BlueAnt S4 retails at $149.00. Maybe you should do some research before you make cruel accusations like "get stuffed". No one is forcing you to buy it!

"Save a few dollars?" - It comes down to what the consumer wants I'm afraid. Again nobody is forcing anybody to buy what they don't want, the choice is entirely up to the customer.

I hope the poorly thought-out comments come to a halt soon. This is becoming a headache.

        • +3

i beg to differ - he/she just got told to get stuffed
that's a pathetic way of communicating with another PERSON
just b/c we're in front of a computer doesn't mean we have free licence to ignore basic human dignity and basic manners.

        • +1

Im sure the majority of people, including yourself, would probably reply in the same manner if you were told to 'get stuffed' whilst trying to offer a deal.

Perhaps this may not be the best deal ever to you, it might be for others, it may not. Either way, I dont think telling reps or anyone to 'get stuffed' is the right attitude or method into getting future (better) bargains from the rep.

      • To quote you, "I don’t feel the approach you are taking is of a professional nature." Ditto.

Edit - "Go get stuffed" is a tad harsh; even I draw the line somewhere. :)

      • OzBargain rocks (literally) :).

    • +3

      "Go get stuffed"

      unnecessary language
      ~my 2 cents

    • +1

you have a fair point that this may not be the greatest bargain in the world… but cmon, these are real people you are dealing with.
      offer constructive criticism not abuse.
your comment makes me feel uncomfortable - i hope this is not how you speak to people in the "real" world

  • +4

OK, now I've got a reason for a negative.

Mobile Citi has it for $99 through Ebay including Express delivery

Which is an established business which has a bricks and mortar presence. I appreciate that you're just getting started and not registered for GST and that's fine and all, but it's cheaper from an established business so I pretty much have to vote negative.

    • I've used Mobile Citi via ebay before, excellent service. Got my BlueAnt s3 through them. Beware private sellers flogging off Vodaphone modified S3s on eBay, though!

    • yeah im pretty sure ive used mobileciti (though their normal online shopfront)

    • +1

Ageed, not a bargain. Poster should do their research before posting or risk getting burned….Ozbargainers are not to be messed with when it comes to price!

  • +3

    To the radars direct rep..

the message you are receiving from these comments is simple:

Make it cheaper and it will be more appealing to the community.

I don't see how that can be said any simpler.

tantryl has just shown us a link for $99 delivered. Your product is not the cheapest and this community wants THE cheapest.

    Thanks

    Not a bargain.

  • Guys please all calm down, otherwise i'll lock the thread.

Please focus on the deal, rather than slinging insults at one another.

    • +1

mfis1, it ISN'T a potential saving if you can buy it for $99 delivered elsewhere. Show me the saving please.

      • Ditto, since when +/- 5 bucks if any is a BARGAIN. We have to maintain this site reputation and posters should know the disclaimer that comes with posting here (Beware - Tight Arses).

        • We have to maintain this site reputation

          Who is 'We'?

….I'm happy to save $5 any day of the week….. You can't be that much of a tight-arse if $5 is not important to you….send it to me….I'll put it to good use

        • +2

If $5 would stop you and persuade you into buying a product worth nearly a $100 you are every salesman dream.

As far as the Tight-Arse goes this is aimed at what you define as a BARGAIN (the theme of this site). Stick to eBay cause to you all items on there are a bargain. The majority wont be interested in spending hours scrolling through posts offering savings at less than 10% in market value.

        • If I can buy the same product for $5 cheaper, same service, warranty, etc….irrespective of it's value…..why wouldn't I?

I don't use ebay though…..too risky for me…been burnt before

        • +1

Many Aus shops have ebay store fronts and products purchased through this come with a warranty which came in handy.

If you were looking into buying this specific model NOW then good for you. Many wont be persuaded or interested in this where they may not be limited to a product, timing or budget and they would have picked similar listings to this on staticice or shopbot at anytime.

Imagine posting every product you can possibly think of that comes from one of the providers at the top of the list of StaticIce or ShopBot. You wouldnt call all of them bargains would you unless there is a significant gap between them and market value.

        • If you were looking into buying this specific model NOW then good for you.

Indeed…that's who the posting would be aimed at, I assume.

Many wont be persuaded or interested in this

Ozbargain is not a shop….where one comes to peruse what's on offer with an intention to buy. Ozbargain is an information depot

Shopbot, etc are fine for 'normal' pricing…
ozbargain is for 'special' pricing (incidentally, I am not referring to this particular bluetooth thingie here…I have no idea if this is a bargain or not)

If the 'special' pricing saves me $5 on something I need, then I am happy. It doesn't really matter if it is a bluetooth thingy….or a bottle of shampoo from coles….it's $5 more than I would have otherwise had, and I'm happy about that.
          If it's a $10, 50, 200 saving…then I'm even happier

          you are every salesman dream.

If you are happy to pay $5 more than you need to, then some might think the same of you…..:)

    • +6

      i say let it go
this is a sad outcome for this post - i genuinely feel sorry for the poster
there's no point arguing with these people - it will just further distract the topic of the post and will lead to its closure - start a forum post and vent there…

  • has anyone actually used the S4 - is it any good?
i have a S3 in y car and it seems to work a treat (except when I am talking to my + 85 y/o relatives and they struggle to hear - but that would probably happen on any kit…

    • I've had both. The S4 is more wizz bang with voice commands, with the S3 has amazing battery life, the S4 not so. The voice commands are great when they work. Voice quality is pretty much the same.
