Finding Cheap Last Minute Flights to Anywhere

Good Evening All

I just wanted to put out some feelers to any travel bums out there regarding some tips on finding last minute flights on the cheap.

I'm looking to travel sometime in the next two weeks and am really just looking for somewhere cheap to backpack.

Does anyone know if airlines will offer cheap flights if you just rock up and ask for an empty seat on a flight? Any tips or advice is much appreciated.

    you'd probably want to start with specifying at least few locations no?

      My preferences are very non-specific. If I could filter all destinations by price I would.

    Put your city into Departure and "Everywhere" into destination.

    airlines only dump seats at last minute, when a war has started, the yield manager has stuffed up, a large group has cancelled.

    If airlines did last minute deals all the time, no one would book early.

    Usually, the later the book, the more you'll paay.
