I'm inclined to cry out with you on that one, but as with BF1 which I successfully priced matched the target website and got it for a hell of a steal at EB games, i'd say if it matters to you enough, perhaps attempt price matching it.
I am very happy with the MCC and have no regrets over buying it for like 15 bucks a couple years ago at CDKeys, but supposedly 1, 3 and 4 look even better via their original discs on BC, and outside of Halo 2, the MCC may no even be worth it to a lot of people.
Especially on the X, the 360 discs got the 4K updates before the damn MCC even did.
It's been this price for a while but stock has been hard to come by. I tried this a week or two ago.
