I purchased a headphone and a travel book from Qantas Store recently. I had to use 2000 points and paid $300.(Tax invoice shows the GST component.)
I called Qantas store to get an invoice(There was an invoice in the order confirmation email but I wanted to get a PDF version) and I was told that purchases through loyalty programs like Qantas Store are not eligible for TRS refunds as it is considered as a gift.
TRS website does not mention anything about purchases from loyalty programs.
Can I claim TRS ?
Can I claim TRS on purchases from QANTAS Store ?

Oh, that's not necessary. So long as the invoice has ABN, price, GST component, all that jazz, it's fine whether it's an email or pdf or embossed 100gsm leather grain paper. Just take a print out along.

You realise on $300 you'll only get back $27.27 (you could be in queue for up to 1 hour)

I didn't call TRS. Only contacted the Qantas Store.
they obviously don't have a clue what they are talking about
They said that you should disable your account.

But..
Do you have an invoice? If yes and it shows GST, then make a claim. Worst thing that happens is that the claim gets rejected and you're only where you started.
