Imoova Camper Relocation from Queensland to Victoria

Has anyone had any experience to share with imoova.

I am looking to get a jetski transported from my brother in laws in QLD to Vic. Wondered if I could utilise one of these camper relocation places, they have pickups from Qld to Melbourne. Was thinking could fly to Brisbane pickup the camper and drive to Gold Coast, then tow the jetski to Melbourne, I know they give you 4 days to get there and sometimes cover fuel and sometimes pay. Would they allow this? Also how would I go about ensuring the camper has a towbar? Not much info on the app, just booking to secure a vehicle.

If you have used them before what was your experience.

  • Hey I don't mind driving it down for you. Here's a pic of some previous work of mine…

  • Call / check the pds re relocations / towbars (would be rare). I wouldn't use Imoova as they are just the middle agent. Try and go direct ie. Apex relocations etc. At least you will have someone to call/ get an answer.

Secondly, check/ change the bearings on the Jetski. A broken trailer resulting in a late relocation will be $$$. They are very fussy re return times. If it says 3pm…its 3pm. 4pm may cost you $500+.

  • There has been other feedback that some operators 'cancel' the relocation if they receive a full rental, so I would check the booking info closely. Don't want to fly there and then find you don't have the transport.

  • I think the ability to tow would rule most if not all out. I have often looked at the T&C's on imoova and you can generally tell what company it's with from there.

  • I noticed reading the terms and conditions usually give away renting party. The one I was looking at was with Apollo. I did call them and they don't have towbars on any of there vehicles. Any other ideas for getting jetski to Melbourne? Got quoted $1250 for relocation.

    • Pacific Ocean, Tasman Sea, Bass Strait, Port Phillip Bay, done. Would be a trip to remember and boast about.
