Been having trouble streaming videos off the net lately and didn't think to test the speed until now. Anyway, speedtest reckons I have 2.1mbps down/0.19mbps up and 55ms ping. I thought ADSL2 was meant to be 8mbps+
Just wondering what everyone else is getting for their net speed and if I should complain to optus about it.

If you are syncing at that speed, then the Speedtest results look fine. Sounds like you may just be too far away from the exchange.
Check out http://www.adsl2exchanges.com.au/ and see what it says for estimated speeds or the speed heat map. If you think you should be getting higher speeds then you may need to check to see if you line is noisy, unfiltered points, etc and need to do an isolation test (unplug everything except for the modem).

I've had a few mates from WP complaining about their Optus connections recently whilst playing on PSN.
2 up and .19 down is really bad. If anything it should be the other way round. What is your modem/router syncing at?
