After the huge success on the two Ramsta S600 480GB SSDs, Geek now have a deal on Ramsta's sister brand Tigo. They're a relatively well known budget brand for SSDs, and just like last time this is one of the cheapest SSDs currently available.

The Tigo S300 is a 480GB TLC SSD with sequential read up to 500MB/s and write up to 370MB/s. It's suitable for replacing a traditional HDD, use as a dedicate game drive (e.g. Steam games), OS drive or even slipped inside an enclosure for use as a portable SSD.

Also on sale is a 104 key RGB mechanical keyboard from ACGAM with Gaote/OUTEMU blue switches. Features include customisable colours, brightness, anti-ghosting, programmable keys, function keys and software for customisation.

The third and final deal is an Estrella Class10 SDHC UHS-I 32GB Micro SD card.

Please note: Australia Direct Line Express Post is currently FREE on the ACGAM Keyboard and $0.14 US (~$0.19 AU) on the Tigo SSD!

This ssd is rubbish controller with rubbish nand chips. Most people only ever write 10Tb for the life of their laptop so this might be ok, but if you want something reliable with good endurance stay away from this.

Is this assessment based on any evidence?

comes down to fit for purpose at a price point …… if someone has a spindle drive it’s a cheap upgrade, if you have steam games it’s a cheap way to boot your favourites …..

i personlally would go with the ramsta id on a budget, a bit faster and uses hynix nand ….but at this price point the options are limited, and if you upgrade you can always put into a usb enclosure and use as an external drive ……

Based on opening a drive and actual knowledge of the NAND chips used.

No US layout for brown switches?

    • +1

Afraid not. That's been the most popular one.

      • Ah ok. Too bad. The kb looks good.

  • That keyboard looks almost identical to the Kogan one just branded differently…

    • Similar but different.

      Same same but different

    • Same but just more expensive.

  • Anyone have experience with this brand? I'm thinking about getting an SSD just to install games on. So I guess write speeds would be "not so relevant"?

  • Hey, just wondering if the courier used in Australia Direct Line is AusPost? I want to have my order sent to the AusPost's parcel collect service but the service only accepts parcels from their own couriers.

    • +1

It's handled by DPEX until it hits their Australia depot. Then Auspost take over so they should be able to accept it especially since the shipping label has the Auspost logo.

      • Oh nice. From your experience, is the 5 - 8 business day shipping time accurate? I am going overseas on the 24th and I'm worried that I will miss it.
