I own this case. Paid $24 from EB games on launch day. The case is soft but lightly padded. It's large enough for a single console with attached joy-cons. There is an internal divider aligned to the display with microfibre lining on one side and a mesh pocket large enough for headphone/charging cables on the other. On the microfibre side there are 6 elasticised pockets for storing switch cartridges. Mine came with a stick-on screen protector. It will not fit a second set of joy-cons, the dock, or an AC adaptor.
I've only had my switch turn itself on once in over a year or carrying this around in a backpack.
My joycons have a dust cover that provides a grip on the back side so it doesn't feel flat. Do you think I'd be able to fit my Switch in with thicker joycons?
FYI the joycon thumbsticks bulge out, there's not much room to hold anything else and the padding is a bit thin. Maybe suitable if you're really looking for something slim. For $4 less you can get this from your local Big W: https://www.bigw.com.au/product/nintendo-switch-game-travell…. Has recesses that cradle the curvature of the back of the joycons plus a lot more room for games and accessories. You don't get the screen protector but you can get 2x of them on ebay for $4.
What does the inside look like? Is the outer shell soft or hard?
