Variation in Snapfish Codes... Why?

My wife and I each have a Snapfish account. Interestingly, we both received an emailed offer from Snapfish today for discounted canvas prints, but the offers varied.

My wife was offered 20% off with the code CANJAN20AU11 while I was offered 40% off with the code CANJAN40INAU11.

Both accounts have ordered about the same value of goods and neither has made a recent purchase so it's doesn't appear (at least not obviously) to be related to whether one account is a "better" customer from the Snapfish perspective. Does anyone have knowledge / conspiracy theories they're willing to share about the discrepancy?

Comments

  • I received this code CANJAN30AU11 for 30% off canvas prints.

    • Interesting that the 20% and 30% codes are basically identical except for the number, but the 40% code is different.

  • So looks like you should try all kinds of numbers in the code, e.g. 50, 60, 99, etc. :)

Sorry, don't know why the discrimination. Maybe just random rewarding.

    • The idea had occurred to me too. I'd already tried many variants before posting! :)

  • have you tried with 100%
    lol if you succeed ;)

  • could be random, could be gender related?

    • but there is 20%, 30%, 40%

      • ooooo, thats so cool 30% for those ambivalent ones….

        or…

Maybe they have Assange's list of Ozbargain users so it goes

        20% not Ozbargain
30% if member but didn't vote on competitors deals
        40% if member who voted

        :-)
