Not a bad price for a Wi-Fi controlled downlight, but not a Yeelight unfortunately, but still good for now.

need $100 electrician to wire up ?

    • Downlights should be a unplug the old and plug in the new one type replacement

      • Not these. They're 220v so led driver must be built in. Quality should be good given they're Philips though.

        • Does that mean I need an Electrician? I've got downlights with a plug. Please advise.

          @vjoz:
          I got one.
Works fine with mihome app. Dimmable n color temperature adjustments.
          No plug.
Wires have to be inserted and screws tightned.
          6 on the way

        • @Niroshansira: Can you walk through your steps to get it working with the mihome app?
I have been able to join the light to the wifi but it is not showing in the app.

        • @deanejj:
Worked it out - you need to set your server to China, I was using Singapore, and then add the light that way.
To reset the light you need to power it on and off 5 times in 3 seconds.

The light doesn't appear to work with any other apps or with https://www.home-assistant.io/

        • @deanejj:Sorry. Just saw this. I'm glad you sorted it out.
Google assistant can control all Yilights on China server now.

          But not these ones yet.

  • Couldn't see in the description… are these the ~70 or ~90mm size?

Do they work with Google Home?

    • They work with the Philips app, so not sure if that is compatible with google home

    • I have the Philips Zhirui which as i understand it is the same controls in a candle style E14 base globe and it can be configured with the Mi Home app and controlled with home assistant. Anything that can be controlled with home assistant can be controlled with google assistant.

      • I thought they can only be controlled by Mihome app and Mihome is yet to integrated with google home assistant. Can you confirm these can be controlled by google Home assistant?

        • They are now. On China server. It worked on android for me

    • It says 3inch around ~76mm

If you buy 10+ for 13 watt you should get from many electric shops for $15 (without Color Temperature adjustment $12)

    • Got example?

Cetnaj (15 Machinery Dr, Tweed Heads NSW 2486) I bought more than 20x not adjustable, day light and warm light mixed (they come with its plug and I purchase suitable power plug around $4)
I am not sure they are practical as adjustable… You have to take the globe out of ceiling, adjust it and put it back…

      WiFi ones?

      • -1

        Not wifi.

  • What about heat dissipation? Can't see fins on back.

    • 5W LED. Not sure if they need fins?

If you had several lights in a room i think it's better to have a WiFi controlled led driver? Won't you have too many WiFi devices?

    • +1

Most don't need fins anymore, I have some expensive ones and not a fin in sight
