Wanting to purchase new PC. Was going to purchase an Acer predator laptop 15inch with 1070 GPU. Then I thought well I'm using it as desktop replacement connected to external monitors and keyboard mouse. Maybe I should get pre-built compact shuttle like PC. Now I can't decide what to do. Can anyone recommend good source of pre built delivered compact PC system for gaming and some 3D work. Or should I stick with Acer Predator 1070. They seem like a good price these days.

Not sure if I want or need portability. That's why I'm thinking a shuttle type solutions with upgradeable GPU would be a cheaper better solution. Really would be using it as a desktop replacement. Can't seem to find anyone that does pre assembly shuttle type systems for good value in WA. I don't wantto build my own.

Yes -> Grab the Predator or competing device.
No -> Get an Ultrabook and a separate Desktop PC.
Unfortunately external GPU solutions haven't matured quite as far as we hoped. Thunderbolt 3 is still too limiting, and there are no TV Docks to place your laptop into like the Nintendo Switch (to increase airflow, power delivery, GPU, and connect other peripherals).
Get a surface pro for work, get a PC for games. You get the worst of both when you buy a huge desktop replacement notebook.
