Uniden Power Disc & Connectors for $10.00

90

Saw these at OW today on the shelf selling for $10.00.
I remember they retailed a lot more expensive in the past.
So for those who have bought the Uniden wireless power deluxe pack that was on sale at OW previously for $20.00, you can still grab them for $29.00.

        .

  • These are pretty useless on their own.

The Uniden Power Pad is a charging plate, a bit like those Wii charger plates from Eveready. But it's not even inductive.

This is the setup - http://www.uniden.com.au/australia/p_wpp_15w_d800_ip.asp

Dumbest idea EVER - a TOTAL PRODUCT FAIL! Yeah, the charger is wireless… but you have to plug the puck thingy into your phone. You might as well just plug your phone into a normal charger LOL

BUT (as mentioned by the OP) this deal isn't for the whole kit - it's just the little round "puck" thingy that you place onto the plate, and plug into your phone or whatever.

    • Agreed. I give it top vote for the most useless piece of gear in recent times. And to think the pack's original RRP was 179.95. And to those who bought the kit then… what can I say. The designer should be shot and the one who approved the design and put this into production…….??

  • like i said about the starter kit, good idea but bad execution, the only real advantage i can see is that you can charge up to 5 items at the same time, so it saves 4 power outlets, but seriously, $180(original price) for this setup Vs some double adaptors/power board, no brainer!

  • I have actually bought the deluxe kit while it was selling for $20.00… like even now it is only selling for $29.00 at OW.
My opinion is, the product is not actually a bad idea. I mean it defeats the term wireless because it grossly still has wires to allow the product to work. We have 3 phones and an android tablet at home, and the good thing about this, as pointed out on the above post, is we do not need 4 power outlets to charge the items. It looks quite neat on my little corner table.
I agree it was priced ridiculously expensive at the beginning but with the current pricing I reckon it is much more easier to swallow.

  • There is a charging case/cover for an Iphone (model not mentioned) for $10-. No wires required. Limited supply.

    • Yeah - but then you have to leave a bulky and ugly skin on your phone, or remove and replace that thing each time you want to charge.

Sheesh, what is the world coming to - how hard is it to pick up a small cable from a normal charger, and plug it into the bottom of your phone ROFL

  • bought this $20 from OW last month then returned it after 2 days.
cant be bother put another things on my small bedroom. total fail, agree. yes wireless but not "wireless"
