My offer is a bit different this time around:
Spend $30 Week 1, get 1000 bonus points
Spend $40 Week 2, get 2000 bonus points
Spend $50 Week 3, get 3000 bonus points

    • Mine’s same as yours.

    • yup mine as well

      • Mine is $100 spend for 4 weeks, I did not activate

    • +1

      There are numerous woolies offers.
Used 2 different offers tonight on 2 family cards:
      instant $15 off $50 (in-store only) &
3000pts for $50 spend (in-store & online, but delivery / pickup must be before midnight Sunday now!)
Also received 4 x $50 shops for 6000pts a few weeks back - but use the better offers instead.

    • Mines the same. Have to activate by 10th June but previous reward of 2000 points per $50 spend still active until 10th June also and not able to be used with any other offer in the terms.

So will miss out on this first weeks 1000 points as the other offer is better.

I would not trust Woolworth rewards due to bad experience from previous deal. last time they refuse to give me the points because i bought fuel from a star-mart station( no mention of star mart anywhere at the fuel station not even on the receipt- just a caltex & woolworth sign) They waited for the promo to end then notify me . Bunch of scammers!!Beware

    • +3

Why the neg vote? I just shared my experience!

      • +2

        Don't worry about sunday bullies

      • You probably got negged because it's poor form to go calling a company scammers when the terms and conditions are pretty clear, and you quite obviously did not meet the terms and conditions because you didn't look at clear sign posting at the site that says it's not a Woolworths.

    • Which star-mart station was it?

      • The one in front Woolworth Kelmscott on Albany highway

        • +4

Just check it for you. That store is Caltex owned, ineligible for any Rewards card promotion. You can only redeem 4c/l off voucher there.Look for a station with "up to 8c/l off" banner, which is owned by Woolies.

        • @Neoika: Thanks appreciate it! I found out after the promo when i called them.

    • +2

There was a warning about that in comments in that deal. Also useful comments on how to tell if it is Woolies owned - to qualify for points. I checked the link in the deal to be sure. The signage is different. I've missed out before😞

      • If you can pay at pump, it's not a Woolworths. If there is a screen playing ads on the pumps, but you can't pay there, it's Woolworths.

    • +1

There's a fairly huge mention that it's a Caltex Starmart actually - Google Maps shows a "Star Shop" on the Caltex pillar by the side of the road with pricing, and very obvious "Star Mart" branding on the store itself. In fact the only mention of Woolworths is the "Save 4c/L" on the pillars.

Hardly something to pin on Woolworths - it's pretty hard to miss.

  • Does anyone know if current discounts you have on your card are included in the spend? I.e. I currently have $30 worth of points on my account, will i need to spend $60 to trigger my $30 first week spend (I assume so)?

    • +1

yes you can as it is just a form of payment not discount.

    • +1

You will only need to spend $30 to qualify. As mentioned above, the accumulated points are considered payment toward the spend.

    • +2

Woolies is much better than Coles in this regard. At woolies, it's just another payment method, so it still qualifies. But with the Coles promos I believe they consider using your points as a discount, so for example if you buy $51 of groceries in order to meet a $50 minimum spend promo, then redeem $10 off using flybys, then Coles say that you just made a $41 shop, and so you no longer meet the minimum spend. Personally I find this very dodgy, how I pay and what I spent are 2 different things. Solution for Coles is do not redeem any points during a promo period, and then outside a promo period I spilt all my shops after $10 to use up the points.

      • +2

That’s exactly right. I have automatic prompting always turned off (found under Account Details).

I instead convert all flybuys points to flybuys dollars which are considered a form of payment rather than a discount.

        • +1

Oh wow, I never really understood that there was a difference between the way Coles treats prompting versus flybuys dollars. That's a great tip, thank you! I've just converted my points for $70 of flybuys dollars, and will redeem it off the next $50 shop.

      • I believe redeeming $10 instant off still qualifies your $50 purchase in this case.

        Reference topic here

        • +1

Hmm, maybe it has changed? I had the exact same situation as that reference topic ($51 of groceries at Coles, use $10 off with points, pay $41, want to qualify for a $50 min spend reward), but in 2017 instead of 2016, and it I'm pretty sure I did not qualify any more with the $10 off, and I did not get the bonus points. It annoyed me enough that I made the effort of adding this note to my flybuys details: "Send $50 (or whatever) and get 2000 points (or similar): Do NOT redeem points for these - the spend amount is based on the spend AFTER discounts, which this counts as. So do NOT redeem points, IF this brings the spend below that amount (which it usually does, since I shop to spend right up to that boundary)."

I got offered $60. I’m doing one for Coles at the moment (completed first shop only). I’m a single gal who normally spends $30 each week. I struggle to do $60 shop for Coles, would not be able to do $120 per week, that’s crazy! At least with Coles I can get mobile recharges to beef up my total to $60!

    • I thought Mobile recharges are excluded ??

      • +4

Not at Coles. You can’t include Gift Cards, but Mobile recharges are all good! Didn’t you know? Well! Happy to pass on my wisdom!

      • This is the T&C from the bottom of my “Spend $60 each week for four weeks” from Coles email: “$60 transaction and $50 discount excludes purchases of all gift cards, iTunes cards, tobacco and tobacco related products.”

        Doesn’t include mobile recharges.

        • It will next time now that they know.

  • Don’t think mobile recharges count as spend for points purposes.

    • +1

      Coles, yes
      Woollies, no

    • +3

Yes, at Coles you can. Woolies you can’t. Can’t believe people didn’t know that! Gift cards you can’t but mobile recharges, yes. That’s why I always get a $20 voucher to add to my $40 shop to get it to $60!

  • wow nearly 10k for a $50 shop tonight.. things are looking up

  • Does anyone know if using WISH eGift cards count towards the 50$ spend at woolies?

    • The purchase of gift cards does not count toward the spend.

      • No, I meant NOT the purchase of gift cards, but using giftcards to pay for my groceries and will that count towards my spend?

        • +1

          Sorry, I misunderstood.

Yes, using gift cards to pay for your shop is most definitely acceptable.
