    WOW!
    good price.

that Camera was voted best point-and-shoot of the year in 2010.
I have tried it and it's fantastic.

Voted best point and shoot by who? That is very debatable. This camera takes terrible photos in low light/indoors. Nice zoom, nice video, decent outdoor photos, good manual controls. I would say that the canon s95 is the best point and shoot camera of 2010, does not have the zoom but photo quality is a level above all current point shoots. But then again, some would say this is not a point and shoot but a "Enthusiast compact".
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/q42010highendcompactgroup/ (I returned this after 5 days, I have children and wanted a camera that took decent photos both indoors and out. Canon S95, $400 ebay, have not regretted it)

      • +1 for s95

      • +1 for s95

      • +1 for Canon S95 too. Just about to get one after seeing photo from friend's.

      • Been on the look out for an S95 religiously for the last 3 months. Besides Ebay, does anyone know of any good deals? Bubber, who did you buy off on Ebay? Were they good? Thanks!

        • +1

If you want the cheapest price locally I would go to either MSY or CPL, Last time I looked they had them for $459, which is the cheapest by far. I got it from ebay about 3 weeks ago, but at the time the Aus dollar was in a good place, ended up paying around $393. The cheapest at the moment is citywide at $424. (They are very good though, been around for years) but at the moment, personally for the extra $35 I would buy it locally. Or wait for our dollar to go up again.

      • Thanks Bubber, I couldn't find it on MSY, only on CPL. That's still a great price for me, as I'm going overseas and I can claim duty free! Thanks again.

    • one is a grey import the other isn't.

      What is Direct Shipping Offer?

      • For Digital Camera (and Lens), Video Camera or Mobile Phone orders - the items will be shipped directly from Oversea Supplier by Fedex, DHL or EMS. It take 3-7 working days to arrive anywhere in Australia.
      • one is a grey import the other isn’t.

        I bet it's not…….
There is nothing on either of those pages that would lead me to believe they are not both grey stock. The $299 version with the (cough cough) 'free' shipping simply says

        1 Year Warranty in Australia

        Not a manufacturers warranty

I suspect (once again), this is shopping square trying it on.

      agree.
the $247 offer has $49 shipping fee
the $299 offer has free shipping.

so they work out to be about the same price anyway.

awesome camera. damn this is cheap. its $248 with free shipping too.

    • says 49 shipping?

      • thought the site says free shipping? my bad.

  • anyone tried to price match this?

    • op did

    • I did as well just before Christmas last year and OW did price match. (Underwood QLD)

      • My OW in Sydney refused to price match as it was a grey import

  • Fantastic camera. I have used it since November 2010 and it's just great! And at this price it's a steal!

  • Great post

  • Where and how do i get a free shipping? the only one with free shipping is this one: http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_15057_Panasonic_Lumix_DMC…
the one listed above has a $49 shipping fee.

  • Why would OP do this…

I just got my local officeworks to pricematch shoppingsquare and by beating their price by 5%, I’ll be getting the camera for $284.05

…When they can get it $36.10 CHEAPER by buying it from Shopping Square?

THE ENTIRE OP NEEDS TO BE FIXED - EVEN THE PRICE IN TITLE IS WRONG

    • $247.95 + $49 = $296.95 - so why is this deal written up as $247 ???

And if OW price match is used, then the price would be $282.10

      [OP failed maths LOL]

      • For some reason, a mod changed my title - it was originally listed as $284.05 which is after the Officeworks pricematch, apparently thats not allowed so they changed the price to the one from shoppingsquare which did not have the free shipping.

Net is that if you wanted one (think its too late now as the shoppingsquare free shipping on the $299 one runs out today), officeworks would have price matched it - at least they did for me, so you could effectuvley have gotten an Australian warrantly TZ10 for $284 as I did.

        • it works out cheaper not to have the 'free' shipping anyways….

    • I think something is wrong with the SS website. In the time i refreshed it twice, it changed prices. i think SS has lowered it after the deal was created.

      • No, it's just that the OP should say:

        Panasonic TZ10 - $247.95 + $49 SHIPPING from shopping square

And that there are two different deal on the site - the other is Free Shipping for $299.95 with Free Shipping (refer posts above)

The TITLE of this deal is wrong - you cannot buy that item for $247

The LINK IS WRONG - it goes to the product which is NOT free Shipping

And DESCRIPTION is wrong (because it is NOT free shipping ON THAT (linked) ITEM.

        • i think i fixed it?

        • yes, for some reason a mod changed things.

I originally posted the title as $284 after officeworks pricematch - 5%, but that was frowned upon, so they changed the price in the title and the link (to the one without free shipping), but did not update anything else.

Please don't flame the original poster for changes which the site mods have made otherwise people will be less likely to post deals.

  • I think LX3 will be much better. Current price is around 350. 24mm-60mm I think, use a Leica lens.

    • i agree the lx3 would be much better but where can you get it for 350 (for aussie stock - pretty sure all cameras from shoppingsq are grey imports and require you to post it back to them for repairs)? everywhere i've tried is either out of stock or want around 450 which makes it much more expensive than this offer.

    • I believe TZ10 uses a Leica lens too. I do think LX3 is a good camera (I have one as a spare to my GF1) but it is very different to the TZ10. It is way more versatile with 12x Optical zoom and the quality of the photos aren't bad as well. I have a TZ15 with 10x Optical Zoom and I still bring that out with me when I am going somewhere I know I will need the zoom. Anyway, just think it's pointless you are comparing two different types of cameras for different types of users.

  • Available from Citiwide online for $267 ($235 +$32 postage)

    http://www.citiwideonline.com/au/index.php?page=shop.product…

I bought this off them in December - Camera + 4GB card + + Screen Protector + Pouch Bag + Mini Tripod + SDHC Card Reader + Lens Cleaning Cloth for $303 delivered. Now it's available for $282. Delivered on Fedex.

A good camera, although it failed badly in 'fireworks' mode.

  • I'm still staggered that SS seem to be getting away with this 'free shipping' scam.

They have the same item at two different prices

The 'Normal' price of the item is $247…with $49 shipping
The "special…free shipping" price is $299….more expensive than the 'Normal' price with shipping

How can this possibly be legal?
