From 26 May – 10 June, the Home’s North Melbourne shelter is reducing the adoption fee for cats and kittens to $25.
All cats and kittens are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatments, which is all included in the $25 adoption fee.

  I gets up onto my soapbox.
  Having a pet can be very rewarding. The only problem with making it cheap, is that some people won't think hard about taking on the responsibility before doing the purchase. Please research all of the negatives and responsibilities of pet ownership before going ahead.
  Some people from some cultures consider a pet as a disposible item. "Oh I want to go away for 8 weeks, I don't want this pet any more, I will just release it into the streets/bush".
  Pet ownership is a lifetime commitment.
