ONDA V10 Pro Tablet 2560 x 1600 IPS Display 4GB RAM 32GB $129.99 US (~$176.66 AU) with Priority Line Shipping @ GearBest

I have the 2GB ram version of this ONDA the V10 Plus, have had it for more than 6 months and it hasn't missed a beat. Great performance, good battery life, excellent WiFi range but best of all is the 2K display which is absolutely stunning.

I paid ~$120 AUD when it was on flash sale using 2100 GB reward points, not sure if you can use GB reward points anymore on flash sales but worth a try.

Pretty sure this is the cheapest the V10 Pro has been, so if you after tablet with 10.1" screen this would be great value at $176 AUD

  • This is better speced than my more expensive Samsung tab :(

    • +3

Your Samsung should be more reliable though. I've owned about 2 Onda and Cube tablets and, while objectively speaking, good value for money, don't hold up for very long and they also don't see many software updates.

My Cube destroyed itself after the battery bloated and crushed the internals.

        About 2?

        • +1

          1 to 3

      • This worries me. I think the battery quality in these tablets are what make them really cheap.

I use my Huawei Mediapad M3 8.4 plugged in everyday and so far after more than a years worth of daily very heavy usage.. No bloated batteries no slowdowns no nothing.

Can't say the same about my Nvidia Shield tablet that well I got second-hand so it was probably already run into the ground battery wise and I could feel it bloating. Rest in piece my Nvidia Shield tablet.

        • i didnt use my nvidia shield k1 often for about a year after i bought it. but after putting a custom rom on it, its useable and i get better battery life than stock. still, theyre not known for good battery life overall. its 2 years old and i'll still get a few hours out of it.

  • micro HDMI is also a worthwhile feature to mention.

    no custom roms though.

    Good specs and price

  • Fully laminated?

  • do you think this better than https://www.joybuy.com/600159959.html?

    • $67 AUD more and I haven't even checked with shipping.

Smaller though so easier on the hands.

I need something smaller than 8.4"

      • phone?

    • i wouldnt trust the photos on any of those cube tablets. watch a youtube review to see the actual size and screen ratio.

  • I have had problems with Google Play and Phoenix OS with two of these. They work now with an older play services version side loaded but not recommended if you want a hassle free experience. Performance is decent though.

Have a read of review here

    • When did you get yours? They no longer come with Phoenix OS and it has been removed from the GB product description. Mine didn't have Phoenix OS just Android and I haven't had any problems with current Google Play Services installed.

Also the more recent review I posted above doesn't mention Phoenix OS so pretty sure these current Onda's are android only.

I hope they got rid of Phoenix OS. It sucks :p

        • I just read through some of the GB reviews and they have, one reviewer complained Phoenix OS was missing.

      • Which version of Android is on your tablet?

        • +1

          Android 6.0

  • I am looking for a good 10" tablet, but I want to pay a bit closer to $100.00

It will mainly be for reading, watching (Xiaomi) security cameras and other smart home functions.

It won't be used for watching movies or major internet use.

    • If you find one, pm me. I decided the tablet market is dead catering to this niche. Im buying a used Google Nexus 10 for $80. 10 inch screen true HD.

      • Good buy that is if you are able to play with its 2gb ram limitations.

  • Need an 8" variant of this. We decided 10" was too large and uncomfortable for my housemates hands.

8.4" is still on the big size for me.

Something between 7 and 8 inches would be ideal imho.

    Otherwise everything else seems great.

64gb internal storage, 4gb ram, micro sd card slot compatible.

  • If you're talking about the battery it might be a good idea to include that in the deal description.

    6600mAh

I've bought about 6 Chinese no-name Android tablets over the years, and they've all driven me crazy with frustration for one reason or another.

    • +1

I'd like to buy my daughter one at the end of the year. So avoid the chinese brands, which would you recommend? I guess I'd be trying to keep it under $250.
