Rapid 9ms response. What’s the response time on average 4K TV’s? I’ve been looking at too many computer monitors recently :/
No idea but I think input lag is the more important specification.
With the exception of OLED tech, I think the better brands (and premium models) will get 4-7 ms for 80% response time, 12-15 ms for 100%. Couldn't tell you what the 9ms represents, but likely the 80% figure.
It's still well over the requirements for a 60Hz panel, but due to the nature of OLED and LCD technology, a TV with features like motion interpolation and black frame insertion will be a lot easier on the eyes with fast motion content.
Please note, HDR support is currently not available for gaming.
What in the…? That kills it for me then.
LOL why ?? cant say it would make a difference…. (my samsung 65es8000 and i cant tell the difference if hdr is on or not.. ) whats your justification
My TV usage is mostly gaming, and the only reason I would upgrade is to make use of all the features provided. It provides a better colour variance than SDR, often resulting in image clarity and nice effects.
My intuition tells me kogan won't be able to deliver a decent hdr TV for anything any time soon or ever. It has that too good to be true feeling and smell all around it.
Hopefully I'll be wrong.
@AlienC: You could be right there.
Though I feel that they should put some kind of indication there are caveats to the HDR feature, even if it's just enhanced HDR^* in the header so you know to read further, and properly detailed in the spec. It should not be a sidenote in the marketing.@Tihocan: mate you should keep quiet about your base model 4k telly. How would you even know… theres hardly a difference between 4k.and 4k hdr get over yourself coming from a 65ks8000 owner………..
@Tihocan: I mean it will probably be very washed out hdr like when I saw some Viano and Panasonic 55 inch and 65 inch 4k tvs at big w then compared them with some 4k tvs at jbhifi. Big difference no wash out.
@solidussnake: so your anecdotal evidence is something I should base a $500+ decision upon? I don't think it's me that needs to "get over themselves".
@AlienC: even if it worked for gaming, that's probably a decent reason to pass. I'd probably be disappointed either way.
@Tihocan: yeah definitely not worth the $500-600 gamble.
Did anyone buy the MU8010? Still no reviews online.
"Logan"… 😂
