  • hmm, might grab one now

    Oral-B Pro 1000 $39.75, a good buy too.

    • +4

Suggest the Oral-B Pro 3000 than the 1000. Based on personal experience as I've owned both.

      .

    • +21

      I think I'd rather pay the extra $10, it's got another 2000 :)

      • -7

but 3000 is more than 2000 …so its even better!

  • whats the normal price of these?

  • +1

So what's it going to be nocure? Toothbrush or Dark Souls Remastered?

    • +16

      Dark Teeth Rebrushed.

  • Any free shipping code?

  • +3

Does this version have the LiOn batteries instead of NiH.

    • +1

The new base model ones still have Ni-Cd!

      • Some base model comes with NiMH. I bought one few months ago.

    • +2

Li ion is only on the new ones. New ones have a prefix number. E.g. Pro 2 2000 and Pro 3 3000

      • I believe this 3000 on sale is NiMH. They want to clear these old stock I suppose.

    • +2

Definitely NiMH. not NiCd or lithium. Just bought one and looking at it now.

  • Don't recommend. After a couple years, needs a recharge every couple of days. Box says supposed to last 7 days(2x 2min brushes per day)

    • +18

Not sure if joking… after a couple of years? I'd say that's a damn good run!

      • +2

Also have a higher spec model(can't recall the model right now) that's at least 8 years old…charge still holds for a week to this day.

      • +3

That't not a good run. I have an old one from about 10 years ago that lasts 10 brushing sessions as opposed to the crap they make these days.

        • Thanks for the support..exactly my thoughts.

    • +2

I've had mine since 2012 and still get about 3-4 days per charge which isn't bad considering it's age

      • Can't remember when I got the electric toothbrush that I recently replaced, but it had dropped to 2 minutes per charge lol

    • +2

Has been my experience too. I've owned 3 now, 2 at the moment. I just always leave them plugged in and it's not a problem.

    • I have the same issue with the PC 700. I got one replaced on warranty just before the 2 years were over. Oral-B refused, but ShaverShop (where I had bought it) was suitably impressed by mentioning the ACL.

New one degraded even quicker, after 6 months it lasts 5 times brushing.

I fear this has the same battery. But then, at this price I'll probably chance it and if it is as bad get a new one again on warranty.

    Thanks Pricehipster and jazoom

    You're welcome

Made a comment last year why oral b 3000 is the best bang for you buck in the oral b line-up and better than sonic toothbrushes alternatives. Even more so now that it's a lot cheaper. Paying more for a toothbrush than this is just a waste of money

  • +1

I'm using the Colgate ProClinical A1500 and I prefer their regular toothbrush heads over the Oral-B rounded ones. It takes getting used to when you use either.

Regardless though, this is a really good price for the 3000 which my wife uses.

Timely reminder to bring this to the masses again.

I think the Oral-B Pro 3000 would be ok though so buy away.

  • +1

No reasonable pickup near me. $10 delivery.. Still a decent price??

  • -1

Do these have Australian plugs or the European two-round-pin style?

    • +20

Tough question.. seeing we're in Australia so who knows?

      • -1

        Savage, lol

      • -1

Thanks for the smart-aleck comment, genius. It looks like the European style when you zoom in

        • Didn't you know that all new plugs are made out of liquid metal, and conform to whatever shape your socket is, like the T1000 terminator?

(Whoops, I thought I was posting on the 2349 version of 中华人民共和国Bargain, time to recalibrate the time machine… would you happen to have a spare toothbrush by any chance?)

    • aussie plug since it is sold onshore…

      • +1

Thanks - the photo of the plugs on the front is so small it's a bit hard to tell. It looked slightly more like the European plug.

I've got an old Oral-B Triumph- I think that's the name- must be ten years old now. Original head too- kidding. I suppose I'll need to replace it eventually. Is this about the same? All I really need is the 30 second timer.

  • whats the difference between this and 20$ oral B electric tooth brush? Any special feature?

    • +6

This one has stronger vibration power so when you're away, the missus could use it to entertain herself :D

      • +1

Like she doesn't have Tyrone on speed dial as Tammy.

  • +5

I suspect they pack an awful lot of baloney in the more expensive models. Here is a review I've just found which supports my prejudice.

    https://www.animated-teeth.com/electric_toothbrushes/oral-b-…

And guess what? The Pro 3000 wins.

  • Crikey this is a good price. When does it expire?

  • +3

Thanks OP. Been waiting for this specific model to go on special.

My local Big W was showing as having stock, so I went straight down there. Couldn’t find any on shelf, asked a staff member, couldn’t find any out the back. I ordered online for pick up from the same store that I was in but couldn’t find any. Within two minutes of getting home got a text telling me that it was ready for collection. Don’t know where they were hiding :/

  • Damn got 2000 model last week from shavershop for $80

    • The pro 2? That would be with Lithium battery. You should get a lot more brushes out of it at first. What I wonder is how long it will keep its capacity.

  • +3

The higher end models (above the 3000) are just full of sales gimmicks to make them more expensive.

The most important features of an electric toothbrush are the oscillations (8,800 per min) and pulsations (40,000 per min) and the battery type (Nimh)

I think the pro 2000 onwards have the above specs, happy to be corrected though.

Timer, blue tooth and all other features are simply silly gimmicks.

  • Marvelous inventions, good price too, some suggest alternating between electric and manual toothbrush.
Cant wait till led and camera are integrated or offered as an attachment.

  • won't let me add to cart

  • Cheers OP, what a deal. $200 down to $49.75. Picked up 2

    • Shaver Shop sells the 2 pack for $179.

      • so you're telling me i saved $79?

      • Two pack only has one charger/stand though

        • so i still saved $79?

  • Think it's sold out online now

  • I hope everyone is aware of the disposal instructions for their old electric toothbrushes (you did keep the instructions when you bought it, right?).
The battery needs to be removed and recycled separately to landfill. Cadmium is a heavy metal, and toxic to the environment.

    • I think most are NiMh nowadays, not NiCd any more.

  • I think, for about the same money you can get Xiaomi sonic brush.

  • For those that have this toothbrush, could you please tell me the input voltage on the charger? I take my current Oral B Triumph on travels and it can take 110v whereas another oral B brush I owned was only 240v.

    • Charger shows 240v only - no mention of 110v

      • Thank you. That's a bit of a deal breaker for me.
Triumph batteries are dead, barely lasts 6 brushes before needing a recharge.

    • A charger is a charger is a charger. They are induction style. So just use your existing charger

Thank you OP. Reserved the last one in Pakenham store. No stock in fountain gate

    • I was lucky enough to to get one at pakenham also yesterday arvo.
Got a second from Lilydale for the missus.

    Thanks OP

Thanks. Picked one up in Emerald, QLD.

  • +2

    thanks OP.
went to the closer big w yesterday afternoon, but nothing on the shelf (though it showed low stock on website). asked the lady at the service desk, and she said lots of people bought the toothbrush on that day, even the big w employee got one herself.
travelled 15k to another big w this morning, and there are few boxes left. i am so happy for the $150 saved! :)

  • Out of stock, please update

    • +1

Can still order to pick up in some stores

    • you can still shop at stores. just need to ring around to check the stock.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Got mine from Golden Grove late today (Wed). There may be one left there. I called up The Brickworks earlier in the day and they said they had three but i couldn't put one on hold. I drove 30mins to get there and they were all gone. Surprised there was still stock at GG later in the day. Lots of driving but glad I got one!

  • +1

    Great timing, Thanks OP!
