Belong / Telstra pre paid scam calls n txts

G'day OZB's

I'm a prepaid customer of belong and I've received a phone call this evening then this text message..

Very suspicious as I have not inquired about anything of this nature.

"additional income"

"This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you"

This was not addressed to me I just wonder who is behind this.

I thought I could add a mobile screen shot, but it seems that I can't.

The number that appears is this..

+6161405120120

Has anyone else been contacted from this number?

I'm not sure, it looks like a mobile number with the area code twice? Mob number looks similar to 0405120120

The +61 assumes Australia, but I hear people can fake the number, honestly if its not someone you know, I'd either ignore it or block it and move on. Safer and easier then it being a scam.

Couldn't find anything online through a google search though, which usually lets you know about a few scam numbers.

They are spamming you due to your misunderstanding. Belong is post paid.

Nothing to do with Belong/Telstra.

Basically someone called you from +6161405120120 (very likely a spam number) but you missed or rejected the call. They left a voicemail and then Belong/Telstra sends you the transcribed voicemail as a text.
