Thanks op
These are awesome quality. I’ve got a 16gb one I’ve been using for at least two years without any problem.
Ditto - it's been machine washed at least twice in that time too.
The Kingston DT Micro ones are also good https://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/ProductImage/20-242-…
Plus they are small enough to leave in a laptop all the time.
Is this as fast as the Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 flash drive?
Did some testing a while back here between it and the 32GB Extreme. TL;DR: Not bad for sequential transfers, but chokes with small files in contrast with the Extreme.
No way.
Do these heat up?
Yes.

While I appreciate the effort, the ones you've linked on eBay are actually the plastic version. I'm sure the plastic one is of good quality, but it is a different product.
good point
These are slow as s**t btw. Very rough insert into the port too. Solid build though, definitely breaks your port before the usb.
Did you plug it into a USB 3 port?
You're not going to expect Extreme speed with this. (4GB Test File)
16GB Emtec USB 2.0 from office works - 3MB/s
The Bar Averages around 35MB/s copying speed
My 64GB Extreme gets around 175MB/sCheers!
thanks, could be wrong but think supplier should be in desciption
