I purchased a Kogan smartertv. These are new products that haven't been on sale very long (https://www.kogan.com/au/kogan-4k-smartertv/)
When I purchased it, the description said 120hz, and it has now been since dropped to 60hz. They sent me an email today saying the same thing, apologising and offering a $20 voucher for a nearly $1000 tv. I feel a bit ripped. Has anyone had any experience with this? Your help would be appreciated

tv's with 60hz
A Tv that may display more than 60hz still needs a source that can output more than 60hz to take advantage of the hz.
Not true, more framerates divide evenly into 120 than 60 allowing playback without processing.
the description said 120hz,
Do you have a screenshot or other documentation to support this claim?
Yeah they sent me an email acknowledging the fact.
Kogan offers a 14 day change of mind policy on Kogan branded products.
Generally speaking you are entitled to a refund / replacement because Kogan has failed a consumer guarantee (the description was incorrect), although you won't always get exactly what you want.
Only use the change of mind policy if you intend to only get store credit.
Otherwise, as stated by scrimshaw exercise your rights to consumer guarantees, by first messaging them requesting a refund, stating that the description was incorrect and your purchase relied upon that description.
what is the motion blur like?
So you didn't notice until they told you?
Sounds about right.
Maybe you should count the pixels too.
Request a full refund with them paying shipping.
Only do it once since they will dick you around endlessly to get out of refunding you.
Then contact Consumer Affairs.
This. They will even is going to ask you to pay for shipping back and the 14 return is closing, regardless, keep persistent that item is not as described - they will need to pay for return shipping.
$20 voucher? What a joke.
I would've asked Kogan how many $20 vouchers to stop me returning for a full refund?
$1000/$20 = 50 vouchers?
Come to think about it, I know now where those $20 and $30 vouchers comes from :)
Ask for a refund if you are not satisfied.
Hard to believe they still manufacture tv's with 60hz
