I'm looking to buy one of these headphones in a store tomorrow in Sydney as I'll be flying on Monday. I know I'll pay a bit more than online but can accept that. Prefer the Sony but if I need to buy the Bose I'll take it.
I thought of trying to price match at a store but I read that places don't price match eBay.

Bose are selling the QC25 for $249 at the moment. There is a store at Bondi Junction where you can pick them up. I have both the QC35 and QC25 and although not wireless the NC is the same. Also with an external battery you won't have to worry about the battery dying in the headset. I can't see anyone discounting the others in store at the moment. Best of luck.
Bose is now selling the QC35 1 (WITHOUT THE GOOGLE BUTTON) for $399 so if you are an apple user this is a $100 saving. They are identical otherwise, call the Bondi Junction Bose store to see if they have stock.
There is also a Bose store at Westfield Sydney City Centre (02) 9231 2000….
I've just been searching and trying to find the following out: So are these the "Series 1" rather than a "Non-Google Button variant" so to speak of the "Series 2"?
I don't know about this place, or where Marrickville is in relation to Sydney proper, but they may be worth contacting. Given they are a B&M store as well you might be able to get a price match.

I believe Harvey Norman will have the Sony's on sale tomorrow for $398.. Worth checking stock on their website for your local store

Duty free is probably your best bet, I picked a set of Bose QC35 (in a similar desperate situation) a few weeks ago for ~$450.
Obviously a bit more than a good eBay sale, but most of the retail prices I saw (around Adelaide) were approaching $500.
