  • Well if the mistake was your fault, you really should admit it after the title of this thread, if it's not your fault you are clearly entitled to a exchange or refund

Did you use a sizing chart or anything they provided to choose your size? If so, you are covered under the Trace Practices ACT 1974.

Under the Trade Practices Act 1974 you may seek a
    refund if goods:
    • are or become faulty through no fault of your own
    • are not fit for a stated purpose or a purpose you made known to our sales staff
    • don’t match our description or sample
    • have defects that were not obvious or we did not bring to your attention.

If the shoe fits (or wetsuit doesn't as may be the case), ACCC them :)

    • or you could refer to their returns policy…
"… and do not accept returns except where the basis of the return is covered by the Trade Practices Act 1974. …"

  • they sent email saying they have no more stock. but hey they can just say that to lie and make excuses, right? we cant go to their warehouse and check…

    • +1

mmmm its probably a way to calm people down, rather than a flat out "no".

Either way, unless the wetsuit is wayyyy out of size, the TPA wont cover it.

  • I'm still waiting for their online chat to come on. I received confirmation that one of the items I purchased from them was counterfeit, so I'll definitely be demanding a full refund.

    • how do you know if its counterfeit or not?

      and what did you buy?

just bought quite a few stuff from them recently..now i am worried

      • When I received the items (Zumba set), the quality of the DVD covers was so poor. I've confirmed it with Zumba via their Legal department in the US and they've confirmed it's counterfeit.

Their online chat is STILL offline and they haven't responded to my online inquiry.

    • Well, I just got confirmation that they will be refunding me for the items I purchased. I'm very happy with this outcome, so I still wouldn't have a problem with purchasing from them again.

  • Wet suits are really hard to get a good fit for anyway, its not the best thing to buy online.

Al least you bought it in a good season to sell it ;)

  • Will go against the grain here.

Twice have had to contact 1-day.com.au for warranty. First one for the slot car track for which the quality was so bad that it lasted less than a day. Second for some stainless steel rubbish bins, which (I assume) got dented in transit.

In the first instance because the stock was sold out they gave me a full refund and in the second instance, after they requested for the pics of the damage (which I had informed them I had taken), they promised to send new bins out immediately.

Very good online buying experience for warranty.

    • Similar experience with sunnies, they were scratched but had no more stock to replace, so gave me most of the cost back in a store credit (after send in pics of the damage).

  • Ah yes, bought some Globe shoes from them too… actually 4 pairs and they did exactly THAT.
It was 1 size too small from the normal size rating (I went to Shoe Athletes and do a measure, it says a size 10 but the scale came up with 9 or 9.5 if I stretch it)
    "No refunds after purchase"

So yeah, just be careful with your buying spree when dealing with 1-day.

Although I must say that, another time I had problem with their product. They were pleasant enough to replace and/or refund. So I am happy that instance!

  • I also had a terrible experience with their supposed 'refurbished' Dell PC.
Product clearly damaged and second hand. Not refurbished… Sent product back. It's now been two months with no PC. I asked for a refund and today they told me they have sent a replacement that is 'in transit'.
These guys are dodgy as… Don't buy from them.
