Dying light is a great zombie game, excellent value at $10

  • +1

Dying Light is a great price but I doubt there are many nation wide.

    • Match EB games

      • Did EB match it? Going to try after work…

      • +1

Don't EB call the store to check stock before matching though?

        • This has literally never happened to me.
Generally they’ll ask if I know there’s stock available. Or they’ll just price match without question.
Maybe that’s just the EBs I visit :)

        • They should, but a lot for them don't and generally they only will if it's a really good deal.

        • -1

@MrSammyMcG: I've always hated EB and this is the reason why regardless of 'stock level' if you have a 'price match guarantee' then stick to it.

        • +1

@Pastry: they have a 'price match policy', it's better than nothing. Try price matching anything at Target.

      No stock at MacArthur square

  • Batman wasn’t available at any of my big w’s last time

Sheeet, I know where I'm going on my lunch break.

    Thanks as always, BA.

  • Been looking at Black ops two on PC, Do you know where it would be the cheapest? I have looked and online CD key places look like the best deal

Nearly bought Skyrim VR from the PS store as it’s just been slashed to $39. Glad I held off!! Cheers.

  • +1

[PS4] Doom VFR is also $20. I bought Skyrim vr and Doom VFR both. Thanks a lot :)

    • cheers . thanks ..Doom VFR added now :)

  • +1

    Awesome

Picked up Skyrim vr and Doom VFR

    Winner!

    Thanks OP!

  • +1

Cheers OP. Dying Light is sold out unfortunately but picked up Doom and Skyrim for PSVR.

    • +1

But what if I want to trade it in for $1

  • +1

    Doom VFR was a blast.

I don't think I'd buy skyrim.. too long of a game for VR imho. An hour or two of doom and I feel sick in the guts, and I've never suffered from motion sickness under any other circumstances in my life.

Skyrim would be OK if you'd already completed it and just wanted to do a speedrun to see what VR is like.

have always preferred digital for my PSVR games, but you can't argue with $20 each for Doom VFR and Skyrim VR…..

  • +1

Once a physical game hit $20 Buy buy buy… then sell it afrer finished for $10 or $5 what else you want

  • Dishonored DE is 10 Wolfenstien TNO is 7. (both platforms I think)

  • how do we rate the evil within 2 PS4 for $25?

    • FYI ebgames has this now at $19 for pre-owned

    • It’s a good game. Improves on the original slightly. For that price, very good get in my opinion.

Just fyi to PSVR owners, anyone that's looking at Doom VFR should note that it's had extremely poor post-launch support. The last patch was maybe a few weeks after release, a couple months later they promised a patch including things like left handed support for the Aim Controller. This patch has never eventuated and it's highly likely that id Software and/or Bethesda has abandoned any post-launch support.

The game is still fun to play (at least for a right hander on the Aim Controller) but gripes with it include
    * No smooth or even incremental turning with Move Controllers. Only 180 degree flip. Makes round rooms hard to navigate.
    * No smooth locomotion with Move Controllers. Only teleport and a brief dash. Not the end of the world sure but still a bit annoying.
    * No left hand support with Aim Controller. (Farpoint has this)
    * No shooting vibration with Aim Controller. Shooting does not feel particularly good. (Farpoint has this and shooting feels amazing)
    * Moving with the Aim Controller causes an inertia effect where your gun's position lags behind where you actually are, making running and gunning feel wrong. This does not happen with the DualShock 4 or the Move Controllers.
    * While using Aim Controller, the grenade hand or grenade launcher is an arm protruding from the player's head and moves along with it. No attempt to hide it or connect its movement in any way to the Aim Controller. Immersion killer.

All this aside it's a fun if not short game for $20 (killing demons in VR is a blast) but just keep this in mind. In contrast, Skryim VR has had a lot of support with community suggestions often being implemented (such as smooth turning and walking speed adjustment).

I had more fun with it just using the DS4 when I realized I could turn on proper dual stick movement.

      • I did finish it with the Aim, it was still pretty fun, but those issues hold it back. I'll do a re-run with moves and DS4 eventually.

    • The lack of smooth controls is why I won’t touch Doom. I understand that their stag hard jump movement reduces motion sickness, and no issues with it being the default choice, but at least give the player the option to change it.

      • Cheers, mobile phone ‘predictive’ text!

        *Staggered jump movement

      • You mean with the moves? There's smooth controls for Aim and DS4.

    Box Hill had

Plenty of copies of Skyrim VR
A fair few of Black Ops 3 on PS3 and only one on 360 (both also come with Blops 1 download codes)
Plenty of Mass Effect on both
    Fair few of Doom VFR

And a copy of Tales from Borderlands on Xbone for 10.

    Have at it.

    • Thanks, hopefully still some Skyrim there after work!
