I am looking at purchasing a Dyson from Bing Lee via their eBay store - however, the shipping time seems to be a long time for something that is apparently only being shipped from Sydney. Link here.
Is their shipping time always that long? Or is it maybe because it's a popular item that they have sold a lot of?
Any issues I should know about regarding Bing Lee or are they usually pretty safe to buy from?

I haven't been to Bing Lee for a long time (because I don't live in sydney anymore) but when I used to buy stuff from them, I used to negotiate with certain staff in cantonese and they would give huge discounts!
If you can speak cantonese, you might be able to give negotiation a try in store to see if you get lucky and skip delivery altogether.

Shouldnt take that long. Brougbt small items no issue. 1vweek. Argh the old purchasing on line. If you need it urgently buy in store. Costco have some.

That exact Dyson you mean? Did it say around the same time for estimated delivery for you?
I would suggest the shipping delay is due to the fact they do not yet have the item in stock.
The 20% discount is one heck of a deal for this item and one I don't think you will find anywhere else.
Bing Lee have been around for decade and I sincerely doubt you would have any problems dealing with them.
