Asus GTX1060 3GB Phoenix $289 + Delivery or Free Brisbane Pickup @ Computer Alliance

280

This card is usually priced at $369 at Computer Alliance. Also sold at MSY for $349 so a good $60 cheaper here.

This is also the cheapest 1060 I could find anywhere.

Delivery was $16 for me in Victoria, or pick up if you’re in Qld.

Enjoy your 1080p gaming on (mostly) max settings :)

Edit: as Lockster pointed out, MSY have a Galax 1060 3GB on sale for the same price, ends May 17.

I mean if msy is closer you could always grab one of these.
Edit: 1060 3gb is in description.

Oh, thanks! Yeah that is actually much easier for me, cheers.

      • No worries mate.

Nice but I'd really recommend 6gb vram in 2018. Even some older games can end up using the 3gb this has.

Someone with a beast 770 and only 2GB of ram, I can run games really well, but the VRAM (profanity) me over with new titles. Seems they aren't really optimising as well as they used to.

      • 760 here
Far Cry 5 literally unplayable :(

        • FarCry 5 is playable for me. for some (profanity) up reason it worked REALLY bad the first time I played it, but then started to work well a few opens afterwards.

Whereas with Assassins Creed, that game is just (profanity). Not even remotely optimised.

        • @StoneSin: It's weird. The far cry 5 benchmark runs fine but when I go ingame I get HALF the performance of the benchmark :/ Never got past the scene where you were driving the truck away from the rightists.

Meh. This price was common about 18 months ago.

Don't know why you're being downvoted. That's what I think everytime I see the deals, 2 years ago this is what they were priced at.
      Pretty sad :((

Probably because graphics card prices have been jacked across the board in the past 6-12mths due to increased demand?

    • You mean, thank god, finally.

Hopefully the 11 series will finally put graphics card back into affordable range again.

  • Any reason to pick one over the other between this and the Galax?

I don't stress mine as it is (don't really game much), so don't think cooling will be an issue (my 950 is single fan - never had a problem) - also looks like the Asus has better multi-monitor support.

thanks OP - had been torn between a 1050 ti & 1060 - still outrageous prices, but if you need a half decent card now, this makes it a bit less painful!

    • Go the 1060; Slower core in the 1050 Ti is going to hurt you more, than the 1GB less RAM in the 1060.

Damn you Bitcoin, I hope you go to zero and everyone loses their money so I can buy a decent graphics card for $399 again.

That's….. not how it works. It's literally the law of supply and demand. If miners all offload cards then the supply will surpass the demand by a lot.

I bought an $8000 V8. I better sell it for $45,000 because the petrol cost so much.

Thanks, In return, we hope you lose all your money too lol

  • Any deals for the 1030? 720p medium is all I need and at 30watts of power efficiency, I can't complain about that.

    • $89. I dunno if that’s cheap or not, but here you go

    • IDK if this is something you'll consider, but a secondhand 750ti is very likely to be cheaper and more powerful.
