still trying to figure why we tried to invade turkey in ww1 …. arch duke ferdinand was assasinated , austro hungarian empire collapsed and the royalty of europe went to war in a land grab as there was no heir …… nothing to do with freedom in australia … more who got the most land and oil … and churchill (senior not junior) well he wanted oil from the middle east for his warships as coal was being outdated ( no north sea oil back then … just good old coal) so it was off to the middle east and conquer the ottoman empire who had the oil …….
