Can this fit both the cat and dog or must you empty the bag after each one?

    • Their hair definitely … I dont think anyone would want to fit in their lovely pets in vacuum ;)

      • It is named "Complete C3 Cat & Dog Vacuum". If it can't vacuum up a complete St Bernard, I want my money back! No one wants to cut up their pet to make it fit in the vacuum, and the RSPCA would have something to say about it too.

    Bargin

    O…M….G

    • I would say its a bargin.. as its better then Dyson ones and Bing Lee has these cheapest of all stores.. 20% off makes it a sweet deal..

I was about to buy over wknd from store but thought of waiting to see if any deal comes through and wallah !!

      • +11

Wallah, your spelling is giving me a headache.

      • +2

Mitr, kahn is trying to unsubtly point out your spelling of "bargain". I also think you mean, "voila" at the end there. :)

        • you deserve an upvote

its the little things that count.

          you are appreciated :D

Oops missed on this Typo.. Fat fingers.. :( Corrected in the Post.

      Thanks Kahn

Yes, its a damn good vacuum.

  • Store name/eBay in title please.

Can anyone tell me if they have the same problem I have with this unit.
The suction is so powerful the vacuum just clamps down on the carpet and I can't push the vacuum head over the carpet - only pull.

    • +1

You push the +/- buttons on the side to adjust the noise and suction level. On max it is very very hard, we usually use it at the lower middle setting for carpet and a bit higher for tiles.

      • you can also open the slides on the vacuum brush head and handle…bit nosier, but won't clamp down anymore

    • +2

Did you read the manual at all? As Gecko said, +/- is your friend…

  • Dang! I picked up one of these at HN on the weekend during their Super Saturday sales and thought I was getting a bargain at $459. Good find! We'll probably see a lot of Miele vacuum deals as they're in the process of going through a model change.

    • You might be able to get a price match! HN price match up to 7 days after you've purchased. I was looking into this when I bought a sodastream over the weekend.
      https://www.harveynorman.com.au/customer-service/price-match…

      • For the record, Harvey Norman won't price match because eBay is an auction site, and their 'Exclusions' specifically mention this. Still worth a try, thanks for mentioning it.

Grabbed one of these at the same price a couple of weeks ago. Pain in the arse because I'm so used to my old vacuum that barely had any suction so I didn't need to worry about moving things like shoe laces, cables etc out of the way. This thing apparently has a small black hole in it, I reckon I could pull a small child into it.

On the plus side, the filter works so well. My particle sensor no longer goes nuts when I vacuum.

Mine also came with two boxes of extra bags, shipped separately. It's not mentioned on their ebay page but I got them, nice bonus.

    • Ya, I got this from the last deal a couple of weeks ago, arrived with 2 boxes of extra bags as well. Very good deal.

  • Finally bought one! Missed out on the previous deal. Been waiting for it to come back!

    Can't wait to vacuum ^^

    • +2

"Can't wait to vacuum" said no person ever…

      • +1

We haven't vacuumed for while (3 weeks so far….) since our old vacuum broke. Been waiting to get a good deal on a decent vacuum.

      • I was excited for mine to arrive. And it well and truly sucked. In the good way. Cut my vacuuming time in half.

    • FYI: The code doesn't seem to work on the "Miele GN HyClean Dustbags" from Binglee. Tried to purchase it with the vacuum but the discount code was only applied to the vacuum and not the dustbugs. So only got the vacuum in the end.

  • Better than DC animal range?

  • How is this better than a Dyson? Need to offload my pos Hoover

    • +1

Apparently it really SUCKS hard. Well, thats what I've heard.

  • The next best vacuum you can get since Dyson declared no more wired ones.

    • +2

These were better than the corded Dysons anyway

      • -2

Disagree. Miele is no good due to bag usage. Floor dyson was great

        • +3

Interesting - I don't think I'll ever buy a bagless vacuum cleaner ever again.

Emptying them of all their dust has been the most ridiculous exercise =- I've often felt I need another vacuum cleaner to deal with the dust.

With a bag vacuum like the Miele, you chuck the bag, and all the goddamn dust just stays in the damn bin, instead of all over me/driveway/kitchen/into my lungs, etc.

        • Not really bagless is so much more environmentally friendly. If you got a backyard you can empty it there got no issues. The cost to buy bags to use is an ongoing cost you want to avoid. Also in the past outdated models of vaccum cleaners are hard to find bags for and not cheap

No bag = can't vaccum. What can you do?

I'm only considering miele due to dyson no longer makes corded

Afraid to get into your lungs? Should wear a mask

This or the Kmart $89 one?

    • Offcourse go for this one.

I had BigW one of around $120 model but it was sucking nothing after initial 2 months… now it just makes noise ..

  • Wish I hadn't got a Dyson DC29 years ago. It works well enough but the cord is too short and the head on the wand seems to push dust around instead of suck it up.

  • I've had mine for nearly 15 years. At this price it's worth updating

  • Will the unit wheels or the metal soleplate floorhead scratch/damage polished wooden floors.

    • If you are worried about that also buy the hard floor attachment.

It had no wheels and is much easier to use on hard floors.

  • I have this unit.. it out-sucks a dyson

  • Best vacuum. I have not one but two!

  • I have this, I can confirm.. It sux a lot.

  • +1

NancyCat, name checks out. Id be scared too with two Meile vacuum cleaners after me.

    • +1

Yes! I have a dog as well…I should change my name to NancyCatDog! LOL

  • Can anyone advise the difference between this one and Miele Complete C2 Celebration?

    Thanks for your help!

  • Does anyone know how often you need to swap the vacuum bag? 5bedroom/2bathroom home with 3 girls and a dog. Hair gets everywhere and need to vacuum weekly or it gets out of control.

Current Big W cheap vacuum just died and need a replacement.

  • Best vacuum I've ever used.

Anyone thinking they've got a good deal buying a Dyson has never tried one of these.

Regarding emptying the bag… you can buy aftermarket ones on Ebay. The amount you need to change depends greatly on how much your dog sheds. we've got 2 labs who shed a fair bit… bag probably lasts 2-3 weeks if you vacuum weekly.

  • Be warned this is not the C3 Cat and Dog which is in the review on Youtube, that is the Canadian version. The Australian version does not have the electrically powered head, it is only air driven, not near as good……

    • Really? So how do you know that?

  • Bought one of these a couple of years ago as it was recommended here. Unfortunately doesn't do as good a job removing hair as my old Dyson did.

  • try cleaning the turbo brush..

    • I have. Even from new this was the case as I had the 2 to compare.
